SUNDAY SCHOOL NEWS

“O Lord you are our Father; we are the clay and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.”

We wrap up our “The Sower” rotation on Sunday October 1
st
 and
move on to our next rotation “David” on Sunday October 15
th
. In between rotations we are taking a field trip to Betty De-
Clercq’s pottery shed where the Sunday School students will learn how pottery is made and we’ll reflect on the above Bible
verse. Parents are welcome to join us. Please let us know if you plan to attend so we can plan for transportation (and if we need to use the bus). Thanks We will be doing our usual community service projects this year but are adding a few field trips/learning experiences including a session with the Ever Blessed Quilters in the near future. If you have a suggestion where we could visit, please let us know On October 29
th
we will be presenting Spark Storybooks and Spark Bible to our students during our 8:30 am church service. Parents will be receiving a letter with the details. On November 12
th
we will be honoring our service persons with cake and coffee at 9:30 am and then going around town (and a little bit out of town) collecting for the Food Shelf. Please let us know if we can come to your house. Once again, our attendance is wavering. We began with 5 kids,
then 9 and last Sunday we had 2 kids. It’s still early but we’re
hoping things pick up so we can know how many supplies to pur-
chase. We’d also like to have an idea how many kids we’ll have for
the Christmas Program which will be held December 17
th
 with practice beginning November 19
