1 EXT. CHILDRENS PLAY AREA - NIGHT
The play area is heavily shaded all around. It includes a
tube slide, a set of two swings, a see-saw, a spider-web
climbing frame, a merry-go-round, a dome climber, monkey
bars, four spring riders, a rope bridge and a zip wire.
A seven year-old boy named SEBASTIAN and his MOTHER enter
and they pass by.
SEBASTIAN
Mum, can I have a go on the
spider web?
MOTHER
Not tonight Sebastian. Its way
past your bedtime and you have
school in the morning.
SEBASTIAN
(groans)
Oh mum.
They exit.
BARRY enters from behind one of the trees. He sneaks
towards the play area. He turns round.
BARRY
(whispers)
Hey.
No sound.
Barry wolf-whistles.
Another two men, KEVIN and MARVIN enter. Kevin is carrying
a toolbox.
KEVIN
(with finger on lips)
Shhh.
BARRY
(whispers)
Coast is clear.
Kevin and Marvin nod.
KEVIN
(whispers)
Right.
Barry, Kevin and Marvin enter the play area. Barry and
Kevin use the gate, while Marvin vaults over the fence.

KEVIN
Right. Barry, you take the
swings. Then do the zip wire.
Kevin takes a saw out of the toolbox and hands it to

Barry.
BARRY
Right.
KEVIN
Marv, spiders web.
Kevin gives another saw to Marvin.
MARVIN
Gee Kevin. This seems kinda
extreme. If we do this, were
gonna get in trouble with the
pigs.
KEVIN
And if we dont, we get in
trouble with our boss. He wants
some of this equipment, so...
MARVIN
(sighs)
Alright.
Marvin strolls to the spider web structure, climbs to
towards the top and rubs the saw against the rope
attachment.
Kevin puts on a face mask and takes a torch cutter out of

a toolbox. Then he uses the cutter on the bolts of the
tube slide.
Barry approaches Kevin carrying a plank of wood attached
to two pieces of rope.
BARRY
Kev, Ive done the swings. Do you
want me to do the poles?
KEVIN
Leave the poles Barry. Ill deal
with them.
FADE
3.
2 INT. WAREHOUSE
Construction is taking place in the warehouse. One of the
workers is directing the others to different positions.
A forklift driver named OSEI approaches him with a large

heavy crate on the forklift.
OSEI
(calls)
Boss, where do you want the suits
of armor?
BOSS
(points to the left and
calls)
Just over there, Osei!
OSEI
Cheers!
Osei drives to the left. He stops where there are two more
warehouse operatives, one of them named GIBBO, waiting in
front of a large crane and lowers the crate.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Okay Osei. Well take it from
there.
Osei exits.
The two warehouse operatives reach for the chains hanging
from the crane and chain them to the crate.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Okay, take it away!
The crane lifts up the crate, slowly. There is acid
dripping from the bottom.
GIBBO
What the hell?
Gibbo strolls underneath the crate, inspecting the acid.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Gibbo, get away from there!
The cranes rope lifting the crate suddenly snaps and the
crate falls.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE (contd)

Noooo!!
Gibbo looks up in horror at the falling crate.
BLACKOUT
4.
3 EXT. WAREHOUSE
CUT
There is a green neon sign, spelling Thrill House, on the
building. Few of the lights are working, with some of the
lights flashing.
FADE
4 EXT. SCHOOL GATES - DAY

GEMMA DICKSON is waiting outside the gates and holding on
a push bicycle in-between a crowd of people, adult-age.
Gemma is a Caucasian woman with brown untidy hair and aged
twenty-nine. She is wearing worn white trainers, jeans and
a hi-viz vest. She checks her cell phone.
ADELE THEODOPOLIS enters beside Gemma. She is a black
woman in her thirties.
ADELE
Afternoon Gemma.
GEMMA
Hi Adele.
ADELE
Busy day at work?
Gemma nods.
DANIELLE enters, alongside her friend LUCY.
Danielle is also Caucasian, but blonde, aged ten and wears

glasses with thick black rims. She is carrying a
skateboard. Displayed on the bottom of the skateboard is a
picture of Peppa Pig with a red slash painted on it. Lucy
is Danielles age and black with dark hair. Both are
wearing red school uniforms, with a Alebone logo pictured
on them.
DANIELLE
All Im saying Luce is that I
think its about time we learned
trigonometry.
LUCY
Arent we a little young for
that?
DANIELLE
(shrugs)
Well Im so up for a challenge,
but all we get is just simple
multiplication, and a lower level
of math. See ya tomorrow.
5.
Lucy waves and approaches Adele. Danielle approaches

Gemma.
DANIELLE (contd)
Hi mum.
She hugs Gemma.

GEMMA
Hi Danielle. Wheres your
brother?
They stop hugging.

DANIELLE
I dunno. We aint in the same
class.
JAMAL enters with three male friends his age, VINNIE,

STEFAN and JEZ.
Jamal is a black boy of eight and has a part-shaved head.
He and the boys are happily running from the school
building. He is holding a basketball and bounces it.
VINNIE
You da man Jamal!
JAMAL
Innit though.
All boys, except Jamal exit. Vinnie approaches MRS.
VINCENT. Jamal waves in their direction.
DANIELLE
(to Gemma, referring to
Jamal)
Here he is.
Jamal approaches Gemma and Danielle.
GEMMA
Hi Jamal, did ya win?
JAMAL
Hell yeah mom! Scored ten points.
Gemma smiles.
GEMMA
Come on you two.
JAMAL
(calls to Vinnie)
In a bit!
Mrs. Vincent approaches Gemma.

GEMMA
Hi.
MRS. VINCENT
Hello Gemma. Sorry to hear about
your husband.
GEMMA
Gee thanks Mrs. Vincent. Its
only been about a year.
(scowls)
Though I swear if I ever meet
that jerk again, Ill strangle
him with my bare hands.
FADE
5 INT. GEMMAS APARTMENT, LOUNGE

The lounge is well spaced out, with a leather sofa in the
middle and in front of a glass side table and medium sized
television set.
Jamal is sitting on the floor watching the television and
leaning on the sofa. He is also spinning a basketball on
his finger.
Danielle is skateboarding around the room.

Gemma is inspecting the kitchen.
JAMAL
Danielle I dont see what you
have against such harmless
questions.
DANIELLE
(whilst skateboarding)
I dont take offense Jamal. I
just think theyre too easy.
Everybody should know by now that
eight times nine is seventy two.
Our educations wasted and its
time we was given something more
challenging.
JAMAL
No wonder you get teased at
school a lot.
Gemma enters the lounge. She is frustrated.

GEMMA
Danielle what have I told you
about skateboarding indoors?
Danielle scoffs and ceases skateboarding.

7.
DANIELLE
(to Jamal)
I still get involved in games,
dont I?
Danielle sits down.

JAMAL
You mean like that girlish game,
Arsing About?
GEMMA
(annoyed)
Jamal!
DANIELLE
For your information Jamal, the
game is called Orange Balls. The
lyrics are Orange balls, orange
balls, last one down is out.
Orange balls, orange balls, last
one down is out.
Jamal reaches for the remote control and presses the On

button.
JAMAL
I wonder whats on.
The television is switched on.
DANIELLE
(looking disgusted)
Yuk, Peppa Pig! Change the
channel Jamal.
JAMAL
Change it yourself.
Jamal puts the remote control down. Danielle takes it and

flicks through. She talks during the action.
DANIELLE
TV for our generation is like so
going downhill. Nothing but foul
animation and obnoxious
characters. The fact that David
Graham is in that show doesnt
make me wanna watch it.
JAMAL
Who the hells David Graham?
DANIELLE
Brains from Thunderbirds of
course.
8.
JAMAL
What? But theyre puppets.
DANIELLE
(scoffs)
Honestly, dont you ever read the
character voices in the closing
credits?
Danielle continues switching TV channels.
JAMAL
We may as well watch Game Of
Thrones.
GEMMA
I keep telling you two, youre
too young for that stuff. And
dont think Ive changed my mind
about letting you watch that
dreadful show about that guy who
gets cancer and sells drugs.
JAMAL
(groans)
Oh mum!
(to Danielle)
Actually Danielle, if the
Leicester Riders are playing,
leave that on.
DANIELLE
Okay.
As soon as Danielle flicks the last channel, a TV-advert

appears on the television.
JAMAL
Oh second thoughts, leave this
one on.
The advert is representing a TV-show called Thrill House.
The shows theme tune and voiceover from JETT BLACK are
heard via the television. Jett is in his early-mid
thirties. He obtains a secret alias (JOEL BLUDGER), which
will be revealed later.
JETT
(voiceover)
Coming soon to CITV, Thrill
House! A brand new game show in
which you may never escape.
A montage of events for the show, including the Garbage
Disposal, the Haunted Gauntlet and Megazone In Space is
shown on the screen.
Jamal stares at the screen with excitement.

JAMAL
Awesome!
Gemma and Danielle look doubtful.
JETT
(voiceover)

I dunno, Im all for something

that we get nowadays suck. But

Jett continues talking.
JETT
(via TV)
Participants have to be seven to
fourteen years. All will be paid
ten grand. The winning team
receives extra.
JAMAL
(happily)
Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!
GEMMA
(chews on her cigarette with
doubt)
Looks like a scam.
DANIELLE
Mum, I dont like the sound of
this anymore than you, but...
JAMAL
Youve changed your tune Dani.
DANIELLE
But you never know, we could earn
a fortune.
Gemma looks around.
10.
GEMMA
Well, we could use something to
cover our bills. If your dad was
still here, wed still be
financially secure. Even my job
aint paying us enough and nor is
your grandpas.
JAMAL
So can we still take part?
Pause.
GEMMA
What was the number again?
CUT
6 INT. BLUNTS OFFICE - NIGHT

The room is square-shaped and the walls are decorated with
antiques, including golden framed pictures, an old antique
wall clock and a mooses head.
Jett Blunt is sitting at his desk, piling his paperwork.

His face is not shown on camera. There is a telephone by
his side.
The telephone rings. Jett answers.
JETT
Hello, Thrill House?
CUT

Gemma is speaking on the phone.
GEMMA
Hi, do you still have spaces
available?
JETT
(via phone)
Of course. Can I ask whos
speaking please?
GEMMA
Yeah, my names Gemma Dickson.
Ive got a couple of kids who are
interested in participating. Ive
got a ten year old daughter named
Danielle and an eight year old
son named Jamal.

JETT
(via phone)
Danielle? Ive got a daughter
named Danielle.
GEMMA
Is it?
JETT
(via phone)
Mmm.
GEMMA
Is there anything I need to
provide?
JETT
(via phone)
Well need your home address and
passport photos of your children
Mrs. Dickson.
GEMMA
No problem. The address is Flat
1, 16 Alebone Road, Alebone,
Leicester LE72 1QX.
Jett writes the address down.

JETT
(via phone)
Thank you Mrs Dickson. Our postal
address is Thrill House, King
Edwards Road, Birmingham, B1 2AA,
just several blocks past the
National Indoor Arena.
Gemma writes on her arm.
GEMMA
Cheers. Ill send you the details
soon enough.
JETT
(via phone)

GEMMA
Bye
They hang up.
MICHELL, Gemmas father, calls from off-screen.

MITCHELL
(off-screen)
Dinners ready!
CUT
8 INT. GEMMAS APARTMENT, KITCHEN

Gemma, Danielle, Jamal and Mitchell are seated around the
table eating their meal. The meal consists of fish
fingers, chips and peas.
The kitchen is a middle-sized square-shaped room. The
refrigerator is decorated with fridge magnets and
drawings. Nearby the basin is a pile of unwashed dishes.
There are bottles of ketchup and vinegar, as well as salt
and pepper shakers on the middle of the table.
Mitchell is on-screen for the first time. He is in his
early-fifties, same height as his daughter and has brown
hair with a few grey highlights. His style of dress is
smart casual.
GEMMA
(to Mitchell)
Dad, what time does your shift
start tonight?
MITCHELL
Its a half six start.
Gemma nods.
Danielle places her knife on the the tip of her finger,

blade down. Gemma sees her and holds her knife.
GEMMA
(sharply)
Danielle, if I see you playing
with your cutlery like that once
more, I shall stab you with this
knife! Do I make myself clear?
DANIELLE
Soz mum.
Danielle continues eating.
Mitchell then balances a spoon on his nose, sideways.
Jamal smiles. Mitchell takes the spoon off his noes and
winks at him. Gemma turns to him.
GEMMA
(talking with her mouthful)
Youre just as bad!
They continue eating.

13.
MITCHELL
Young Jamal told me that youre
entering him and Dani into a new
game show.
GEMMA
Yes, Ive just called that guy at
the studios. Its this new game
show called Thrill House, which
reminds me of a few game shows I
watched as a kid. But it looks
kinda dodgy.
JAMAL
Wheres your sense of adventure
mum?
GEMMA
Well not only that, but they
claim that we get ten grand for
participation. It sounds like a
scam.
MITCHELL
We only live once. Theres no
harm in giving it a shot.
DANIELLE
Plus Im sure the TV network
aint dumb enough to hire scam
artists. I wonder what that Jett
Blunt guy looks like.
GEMMA
If we do get the money, at least
wed rely less on the crappy jobs
we already have.
Gemma turns to Mitchell.
GEMMA
No offense Dad.
MITCHELL
None taken. The warehouse is
already going through cost
cutting measures. Theyre only
offering night shifts and weve
even had pay-cuts.
GEMMA
And Id sure like a bit of cash
to arrange a search warrant for
that righty dunce.
(sighs)
Cant promise that theyll give
us the money.
14.
Mitchell looks at his watch.

MITCHELL
I have to go to work now.
GEMMA
Okay dad.
Mitchell gets up from the table. He goes to Jamal, rubs
his head and kisses him. He then does the same to
Danielle.
MITCHELL
Good night Danielle.
DANIELLE
Night grandpa.
Gemma gets up from the table.
GEMMA
See you tomorrow dad.
They hug.
Mitchell exits.
Gemma turns to Danielle.
GEMMA (contd)
Danielle, get the passport
photos. Theyre in my handbag.
Danielle exits.
CUT
9 EXT. DOWNTOWN, BIRMINGHAM
Jett exits his apartment. His face is not present

on-screen.
Jett strolls down the street, passing a nearby janitor.
Then he turns left to a clubhouse with a sign reading
British First meeting. The janitor stares on.
FADE
10 INT. GEMMAS BEDROOM - DAY
Gemma is lying in a double bed. The curtains are half open

and the window is wide open. There is a liquor bottle and
a digital alarm clock on her side table.
15.
The clock strikes 7:30 and the alarm rings. Gemma wakes up
and picks up the bottle, then takes a swig. She then
throws the bottle out of the window.
CUT
11 INT. CAFE
KAYLEIGH HAYWOOD is serving behind the counter.
Adele is one of the customers. She is seated at one of the

tables and drinking cappuccino.
Gemma enters. She approaches the counter.
KAYLEIGH
Good morning Gemma.
GEMMA
Hi Kayleigh.
KAYLEIGH
What would you like?
GEMMA
Tea please.
KAYLEIGH
Certainly.
Kayleigh places a mug under the boilers tap and turns it
on.
KAYLEIGH (contd)
No work today?
GEMMA
Ive been given the day off. Well
sort of.
KAYLEIGH
(smiles)
Lucky you!
Kayleigh places a tea cup on the counter. Gemma takes it.

KAYLEIGH (contd)
Thatll be a pound please Gemma.
Gemma hands a pound coin to Kayleigh.
KAYLEIGH (contd)
Thanks very much.

Cheers Kay.
Gemma approaches Adele.
GEMMA (contd)
Hello Adele.
ADELE
Morning Gemma. No work today?
GEMMA
No.
Gemma sits down.
GEMMA (contd)
I nearly did have a shift, but
the guy at the desk said that I
aint on the list today.
ADELE
Doesnt seem too bad.
GEMMA
Well, works kind of tedious, but
he couldve at least told me
sooner, then I wouldntve cycled
all the way there.
ADELE
Gee Gemma, the system doesnt
sound right.
GEMMA
Of course it flipping well aint.
Especially considering that I
have to earn a living and if it
wasnt for that jerk Joel, Brad
would still be here to help us
with our problems.
(sighs)
He had such a steady job.
ADELE
Come to think of it, what
actually did happen to your
husband?
GEMMA
Well, it depresses me to think
about it, but it happened a few
days after my birthday last
year...
FADE TO FLASHBACK
17.
12 INT. RESTAURANT - NIGHT

Gemma and her husband BRAD are leaving a table. Brad is a
black man with a short beard and bald head in his early
thirties. Both are smart-dressed. Gemma is wearing a red
dress. Brad is wearing a white shirt with black trousers,
jacket and bow tie.
BRAD
Ill pay for it Gemma.
GEMMA
You sure Brad?
BRAD
Dontcha worry. My treat to ya.
Afterwards I just need to use the
loo.
GEMMA
Okay honey-bunch. Ill be
outside.
They kiss. Gemma exits.

Brad hands the WAITRESS some money.
BRAD
There you go.
CUT
13 EXT. OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT

Gemma enters from through the doors. She stops, takes a
cigarette out of her handbag and prepares to light it.
JOEL enters sneaking up to Gemma, followed by two of his
friends, NIGEL and PAUL.
JOEL
Allo love.
Gemma turns around hurriedly.
GEMMA
Oh hello Joel, er, what are you
doing here?
JOEL
I know, long time no see. Ive
come to wish my old bird a happy
birthday.
18.
GEMMA
Well its very kind of you to
say...
JOEL
Maybe we could treat you to a
drink down at the UKIP club.
GEMMA
Gee Joel, Id like to, but Ive
already had a meal with my...
NIGEL
What, at the Terracotta? Its
full of foreigners.
GEMMA
(shrugs)
So? I happen to like foreign
food. As do my husband and kids.
JOEL
Speaking of kids, hows Danielle,
our little princess?
GEMMA
(sounding bemused)
My princess is doing fine, thank
you for asking. And at least she
has brains.
Brad enters, from the restaurant.
BRAD
(to Gemma)
Whats up hun, those guys causing
you trouble?
Gemma looks at Brad, then at Joel, Nigel and Paul.
GEMMA
Brad, this is Joel, an old friend
of mine.
Brad offers his hand to Joel, ready for a handshake. Joel

doesnt shake it.
JOEL
An old boyfriend of hers.
Brad looks at Gemma in dismay. Gemma turns to Joel.

GEMMA
(gestures Brad)
And this, Joel, is my hubby for
several years.
19.
BRAD
(to Gemma)
Gem, is this the same Joel you
were telling me about?
Gemma solemnly nods.

JOEL
(checks his watch)
Well gee, look at the time. We
cant stand around all night.
Come on Gemma, Im taking you
back. Lets head to the UKIP
club.
PAUL
While were at it, well take
care of Rolo head for ya.
Paul starts towards Brad, but Gemma angrily stops him.
GEMMA
Back off! Hes my husband!
Paul inhales a cigarette and coughs in Gemmas face.
GEMMA
And cover your bloody mouth!
(to Joel)
I dont know where you get your
fascist beliefs from Joel, and I
shudder to think about it.
Joel tuts and shakes his head.

JOEL
This from a woman raising a
bastard girl.
GEMMA
At least that bastard girl aint
like you. If you want to be a
father, or even a husband, maybe
you ought to take a good look at
yourself. But it looks like
youll never change.
BRAD
Come on honey, theyre not worth
it.
Brad and Gemma turn to go.

JOEL
(to Nigel and Paul)
Nigel, Paul, hold her.
20.
Nigel and Paul stroll up to Brad and Gemma and grab Gemma
arm by arm.
GEMMA
What the... get off!
NIGEL
Just try to relax love.
Brad wrestles with Paul.
BRAD
Leave her alone!
Paul pushes Brad away and carries on holding onto Gemma.
Joel grabs onto Brad. Gemma continues attempting to escape
Nigel and Pauls clutches.
GEMMA
Let him go! If you hurt him...!
NIGEL
Shut up you stupid cow!
Joel and Brad wrestle with each other.
JOEL
Were taking... this... country
back... once and for all.
Joel takes something out of his trouser pocket.
GEMMA
No! Noooooooo!
At the same time, a police cop passes by.
Joel hits Brad. Brad falls to the ground and groans in
pain. Joel then bends down and raids Brads pockets and
gets up. Nigel and Paul release Gemma. Gemma rushes to
Brads body.
GEMMA (contd)
(in an upset voice)
Braaaad!
Gemma starts to cry, but then looks up at Joel and screws

her face up in anger. She gets up and starts hitting Joel.
GEMMA (contd)
You... blagging... son of a...!
Police sirens sound. Joel, Nigel and Paul run off. Gemma
is left sobbing over Brad.
21.
GEMMA
Brad!
The police arrive on the scene.
FADE BACK TO PRESENT DAY
14 INT. CAFE - DAY

Gemma and Adele are seated on the same table. Gemma is
sobbing. Adele comforts her.
Gemma lifts her head up, bravely, and breathes in.

GEMMA
I told the police everything
about Joel and he still aint
been arrested. His two goons have
though. Brad had such a decent
job. He worked as an
administrator for Dunelm. But
because of Joel, were in a
crisis.
(screws up her face in
anger)
Ill murder him someday.
Gemma then looks at Adele, wipes her eyes and clears her
throat.
GEMMA (contd)
Speaking of money, we may be in
luck.
ADELE
Whys that?
GEMMA
Ive signed Danielle and Jamal to
enter this game show.
ADELE
(smiles)
Is it Thrill House by any chance?
GEMMA
(smiles)
It is.
ADELE
I was going to say. Lucy saw the
advert on ITV. She wants to
enter, but I thought it better if
we let the show progress first.
Gemma looks doubtful.
22.
GEMMA
Ive been reluctant myself. I
still fear it my be a scam, but
my kids and my dad was so
persuasive.
ADELE
I agree with them on this one
Gemma. You never know, you may
get the money you need.
GEMMA
It could be either that or were
on the streets.
CUT
15 EXT. SCHOOL PLAYGROUND

Danielle and Jamal are loitering around the climbing
frame. Danielle is sitting on the ground and leaning on
the frame. Jamal is hanging upside-down from one frame by
his legs. They are joined by Lucy, Vinnie, Stefan and Jez.
LUCY
Youve entered Thrill House?
Danielle removes her glasses.

DANIELLE
Well technically, we aint
entered yet.
Danielle balances her glasses on the tip of her nose.

DANIELLE
My moms called em in regards to
our interest.
JAMAL
Should be a laugh. Im up for an
adventure.
DANIELLE
Yeah you would be.
LUCY
I think its great. I want to
enter, but my mom and dad reckon
its too soon.
VINNIE
Join the club. But Im so
definitely watching it.
CARRIE-ANNE enters. She is Danielles age and approaches
her.

CARRIE-ANNE
Hey four-eyes.
Danielles glasses fall off her nose. She picks them up
and puts them back on.
DANIELLE
(sighs)
What do you want Carrie-Anne?
CARRIE-ANNE
Hows that slutty mummy of yours?
Danielle stands up and faces Carrie-Anne, angrily.
DANIELLE
What my mum does doesnt concern
you.
CARRIE-ANNE
She snitched on my dad just for
getting rid of someone whos
ruining this country and now hes
in prison, because of her.
DANIELLE
Us lot round here wouldnt give a
rats arse about what background
my dad came from!
JAMAL
Danielle, she aint worth it!
Danielle turns away from Carrie-Anne.

CARRIE-ANNE
What? Even though hes as
Rolo-headed as your filthy
brother.
Jamal scowls.
DANIELLE
(starts to raise her voice)
Yeah well youre violating the
school rules of democracy. If you
dont like it, then go...
CUT
16 EXT. ELSEWHERE
A car driver presses the horn.
CUT

17 EXT. SCHOOL GATES

A bunch of birds fly from the roof.
CUT
18 EXT. SCHOOL PLAYGROUND

As before.
DANIELLE
(continued)
...yourself!
All stare at Danielle in surprise. Carrie-Anne looks
displeased.
CUT
19 EXT. PARK
Gemma and Adele are seated on a park bench.

A ring-tone is heard. Gemma takes her cell phone out of
her trouser pocket. She answers.
GEMMA

Gemma is standing, leaning on the refrigerator. She is

smoking a cigarette. There is a take-away pizza box next
to the fridge.
The sound of the letter box is heard. Gemma exits, then
re-enters with some envelopes. She then takes a pizza
slice from the pizza box and bites it.

Danielle, Jamal, breakfast!
Jamal enters, running in the kitchen. He is in his school
uniform.
JAMAL
Morning.
Gemma waves lazily while chewing on her pizza. Jamal grabs
a pizza slice.
Danielle enters. She is on her skateboard and is also
wearing her school uniform.
GEMMA
Danielle Ive told you not to
skateboard in this house.
DANIELLE
Correction mum, its a flat.
GEMMA
Whatever, theres some leftover
pizza by the fridge.
Danielle grabs a pizza slice and eats it.
DANIELLE

There is a pile of jackets under the coat pegs. There is
rain outside the window.

Danielle rummages through the coat pile. She eventually
fishes out a child-size transparent umbrella.

Jamal sticks his jackets hood up.

Gemma enters and chains her bike to the fence. She then
enters the cemetery and approaches a gravestone. She is
holding a bunch of flowers. It is raining.

Gemma places the flowers on the grave.

Well Brad, its been really hard
since we lost you. But well be
getting our finances back. Not
from that scumbag Joel, but from
a brand new game show our kids
are in. Well get the money, then
we can hire a search warrant on
Joel.
Gemma kisses her fingers and touches the gravestone. Then

she walks away.
Just then, Adele enters. She is sheltering herself with an
umbrella.

Danielle and Lucy are present. It is still raining.
Danielle has her umbrella open. It is revealed to have
peace symbols painted on it. Lucy also has one, though
hers is portable.

Youre entering Thrill House?
DANIELLE
Yeah. Its ironic considering we
was down on luck, were gonna be
celebrities.
LUCY
(impressed)
You lot must be proud of
yourselves.
DANIELLE
I bet you cant do this.

Danielle cartwheels her umbrella and then balances the

point part on her hand.
LUCY
I doubt it.
DANIELLE
It was Jamals idea. Im kinda
nervous about it.
LUCY
What do you mean?
Danielle reholds the handle of her umbrella.
DANIELLE
As much as I find TV for our
generation far too rubbish, this
one seems extremely, like, scary
and like them extreme sports we
see on TV.
LUCY

Danielle nods.

31 INT. FOYER, DICKSONS APARTMENT

Gemma, Jamal and Danielle enter through the entrance door.
All are wearing jackets. Jamal is carrying his schoolbag.
Danielle is carrying her schoolbag and her umbrella which
is wet and unwrapped.

Right, I need the documents.
Gemma heads for the door marked 1.

DANIELLE
Mum, Thrill House aint till next
Friday. Theres plenty of time.
GEMMA
I know, Danielle, I just want
everything to be perfect.
Mitchell enters.
MITCHELL

A land rover drives down the road. It is fairly dark.
Inside the car are Gemma, Danielle, Jamal, Kayleigh,
Mitchell, Lucy, Adele and her husband MOHAMMED. Mohammed
is driving. Adele is sitting in the front passenger seat.
Gemma, Mitchell and Kayleigh are sitting in the middle
row. The children are in the back row.
GEMMA
Very kind of you to drive us all
the way to Birmingham.
MOHAMMED
No problem. Always happy to give
you guys lifts.
Danielle removes her glasses and balances them on the tip

of her nose.
LUCY
Dani, what are you doing?
DANIELLE
What does it look like?
Gemma turns around bemused.
GEMMA
It looks like youre farting
around with your glasses again.
The car goes over a speed bump. Danielles glasses fall
off her nose. She turns to Lucy and hisses with laughter.
Lucy also laughs. Jamal is more content.

Danielle picks up her glasses and puts them back on.

they filmed Gladiators, isnt it?

Oh yeah. I did meet one of them
once.
ADELE

GEMMA
Well I was eighteen at the time,
pregnant with Danielle, and me
and my dad was on holiday in
Brighton. At the time, I need a
break from Joel. And one day,
whilst we was shopping, I was in
the queue and Falcon was behind
me. She handed me my wallet and

like, "thanks" and then "are you
Falcon from Gladiators by any
chance?" and she was like "yes I
am". We got chatting about the

she was like "sure". Ive still
got it on Facebook.
Gemma shows her mobile phone to Kayleigh. Kayleigh looks

course she wasnt in her costume,
but you could tell it was her.
Apparently, shes got her own gym
in Brighton.

Gemma hands the phone to Adele. Adele looks and nods in an

impressed manner. She then hands the phone back to Gemma.

I remember getting an autograph
from one of the Gladiators.

The land rover pulls up in the parking lot.

Gemma, Danielle, Jamal, Mitchell, Kayleigh, Adele,
Mohammed and Lucy enter through the front entrance.
Gemma is looking at the letter.

Okay, so we need to see a couple
of guys named Barry and... Kevin.

Er, yeah we are actually.
Barry crouches down to speak to Danielle, Jamal and Lucy.
BARRY

Oh you betcha! I so wanna go on
that garbage chute!
Barry smiles. He turns to Danielle.
BARRY
And you must be Danielle.
Danielle nods.
BARRY (contd)
How are you feeling?
DANIELLE
Bit nervous actually.
BARRY
Im sure youll get over it.
Barry turns to Lucy.
BARRY (contd)

Lucy opens her mouth, about to speak.

Actually shes just with us.
Were friends of the contestants.
Barry nods and gets up.

Barry, Danielle and Jamal enter.
Already present are the other contestants; Blue Team - LEE

SUEN and KYLIE MUNSON, Yellow Team - SIEGFRID KRASOVSKA
and VICKY STEVENSON, and Green Team - SEAN MITCHELL and
KELLEN REID. Each team is color-coded by their shirts.
Each of the contestants are also wearing shorts, matching
the colour of the shirts, and trainers.
Lee, Kylie, Siegfrid, Vicky, Sean and Kellen are rummaging

through the clothes.
BARRY
This is where youll be hanging
round before the show and during
the interval.
Lee and Kylie get up to them. Lee is ten years old and of
Chinese descendant. Kylie is a seven-year old brunette
girl who speaks with a light French accent.
BARRY
Oh and these are some of the

This is Jamal and Danielle.
They shake hands.
Sean also gets up to greet them, cheerfully. He is a blond
eleven year-old causacian boy and wears braces.

Sean looks at Danielle and takes her glasses off and puts
them on.

BARRY

Sean smiles and hands Danielles glasses back to her.

Danielle nudges Jamal. Then she turns back to Sean.
The other children also get up to greet Jamal and
Danielle. Siegfrid is a twelve year-old boy with glasses
and very short hair. Vicky is a tall black fourteen
year-old girl who speaks with a Yorkshire accent. Kellen
is aged nine of South African descendent.
BARRY
Right well here are your
uniforms.
Barry hands both Jamal and Danielle the clothes.
BARRY (contd)

GEMMA
The one I was using was filthy
and wouldnt flush. And the soap
device was bust. Changing the
subject entirely, lets hope
Danielle and Jamal can survive

Gemma smiles, claps her hands and holds them together with

And here is the bloke who puts
the thrill in Thrill House, Jett
Blunt!
The audience applauds as Jett Blunt enters. He is standing

in a go-go cage which is being craned down slowly and
wearing a black pork-pie hat, suit jacket and cape which
is waving. Jetts face is shown for the first time. There
is smoke almost covering him.
As the cage touches the ground, Jett climbs out of the

cage and addresses the audience. The music stops.
JETT
Hello and welcome to the mosque
of oblivion, that is, Thrill
House. Any of the eight surviving
contestants will enter the gates,
some may never come out, for they
even may meet their fate.

Each cheerleader (or in Jetts case, fear-leader) is
dressed in a black vest with a Thrill House logo on it,
leather shoes and skirts with zig-zag ends and carrying
pom-poms with black patterns. Each fear-leader is colour
coded by their pom-poms, the font on their vests, and

Jett enters with Jamal, Lee, Siegfrid, Sean, Natasha,
Vanessa, Rebecca and Teresa.
In the middle of the stage is a large thick-sewage pond
with a hole in middle. There are skeleton skulls hidden
inside. Washing lines are hanging above the Chute.
JETT
And we can dispose it here in the
Garbage Chute. But your goal is
to prevent blockage. Hidden in
the chute are human skulls
clogging up the chute.
(turns to Jamal)
Jamal, if youd like to come over
here.
Jamal follows Jett to the bucket in the top left. Natasha

follows him.

Lee, youll be starting here.
Jett points to the top right bucket. Lee strolls over
there followed by Vanessa. Jett turns to Siegfrid.

Now that were all in position,
above each of you is a washing
line. Use it whilst collecting
the skulls or youll be
disqualified. Start the clock on
my whistle. Three, two, one...
Jett blows his whistle. Jamal, Lee, Siegfrid and Sean
begin the game. At the same time, a clock is displayed
on-screen reading 1:00. It begins counting down.
Siegfrid gets off to a smooth start and is able to reach
his hand down in the mud. He fishes out a skull while
still holding onto the rope. Jamal and Lee both let go of
their rope and make a splash down in the mud to search for
skulls. Meanwhile, Sean, nervously still clinging onto the
rope, uses his feet to grab onto a skull. He then climbs
back slowly with the skull dangling on the tip of his left
foot via the eyehole.
Jett surveys the progress being made by the contestants.

As the clock hits 0:30, he presses a secret button on the
control panel. At that point, the sewage begins to drain.
So far, Siegfrid has collected the most skulls, four. Sean
has collected one. Jamal and Lee have each collected two.
They both make a splashdown in the sewage. Jamal climbs
back out and makes a successful reach of the rope. He has
a skull under his shoulder. Lee also catches a skull
whilst in the sewage pool, but suddenly gets caught in the
drainage process. He struggles to get out.
LEE
(waving his arm)
Help!
Jamal spots Lee and goes back for him. He places the skull
he is holding between his teeth.
JAMAL
(muffled)
Grab my hand, Lee!
Jamal reaches down for Lee. Lee attempts to grab Jamals

hand, but to no success.
LEE
I cant reach!
Jamal tries reaching down with his leg. Lee successfully

grabs Jamals leg, puts the skull he is holding in his
teeth and climbs up Jamal and back onto the rope.
LEE
Gee, thanks Jamal.

Jamal nods. But the skull he is carrying slips out of his

teeth.
JAMAL
Aw shoot.
Lee returns to his bucket while Jamal attempts to grab a

skull using his feet.
Suddenly the clock timer hits 0:00. A buzzer is heard at
the same time.
The contestants all return to their starting positions.

JETT
Times up guys. Blimey all of you
survived this round. Lets see
how many skulls you collected.
How many did the greens get?
Teresa rummages through Seans bucket.
TERESA
Seans got two!
Audience applause.
JETT
Two. Seems hard, dont it.

46 INT. THRILL HOUSE ARENA, BRIDGE OF DEATH

Jett stands in front of four bridges, all above a large
pool of water populated by electric eels. On the other
side of each bridge stand the cheerleaders with large
washing tubs. Each bridge is made of wood planks and two
ropes with no railings.
Danielle, Kylie, Vicky and Kellen enter.
JETT
Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel once
warned their listeners about the
dangers lurking beneath them
bridges, hence Bridge Over
Troubled Water.
DANIELLE
(whispers to Vicky)
I thought they just wrote it as
some love story.
VICKY
(whispers)
Mostly yes.
JETT
The aim of this game is to
collect the corpses from the
other side of the bridges and

Jett blows his whistle. The girls begin. All run across
their bridges, except Danielle who strolls across
causiously, looking nervously at the planks she is
treading on.
Vicky has reached her side first and grabs a corpse dummy,
then runs back to her side.
Kellen does the same. But suddenly as she is halfway

across her bridge, she trips over a plank, drops the dummy
she is holding and falls into the eel pool, screaming
before she hits the water. Danielle, who has just watched,
sees the resulting sparks in horror.
Danielle grabs a corpse dummy and flicks it onto her

shoulder. Then she nervously crosses the bridge slowly
back to her side. By the time she reaches her barrel and
puts the dummy in it, the clock has hit 0:15.
So far, Vicky has collected three dummies and Kylie, two.

Danielle heads back to collect another dummy, but once she
is halfway across, the time runs out. Danielle, Kylie and
Vicky return to their posts.
JETT
Oh were out of time. And three
of you survived this one.
Jett turns to Teresa.

strolls towards the edge and stares at the eel pool.

JETT

Jett pulls a secret lever on his control panel.

A trapdoor opens under Seans feet and he falls through.

Danielle stares in horror. Jamal is impressed.

48 INT. THRILL HOUSE ARENA, HAUNTED GAUNTLET

Jett, Jamal, Lee, Siegfrid, Natasha, Vanessa and Rebecca
enter.
Ahead of them is a long vertical skateboard ramp. The

gauntlet is complete with the following obstacles; a row
of moving floor spikes, a swinging flail, a pit and a
hidden circular saw. There are three skateboards lying
where the contestants are standing.
JETT
Gentlemen, welcome to the Haunted
Gauntlet. The aim is to
skateboard back and forth scoring
as many laps as possible.
CUT
Danielle, Kylie and Vicky are back at their panels. They

have just heard Jetts instructions.
DANIELLE
(a bit annoyed)
Oh no, nappy!
VICKY
Whats up Danielle?
DANIELLE
I wanted to do the skatebaording
one.
CUT
As before.
Jett continues instructing the contestants. Jamal, Lee and
Siegfrid have mounted on their skateboards, ready to race.
Natasha, Vanessa and Rebecca are each manning a
scoreboard.
JETT
In front of you are some of the
deadliest obstacles to ever come
across; the ground spikes, the
flail, the pit of oblivion and
the circular saw. You have one
minute to gain as many laps as
you can.

Jett blows his whistle. The clock timer appears. Jamal,
Lee and Siegfrid begin the race.
Jamal skateboards the slowest. He is using one of his feet
to pedal along.
Siegfrid is in the lead. He has just dodged the pit and
jumped over the saw.
At that point, Lee has just swerved past the floor spikes.
Siegfrid has reached the other side, then quickly turns
back, while Jamal successfully dodges the flail.
As the time progresses, Siegfrid has just completed one

lap. Jamal has reached the other side and turns round.

Danielle, Kylie and Vicky are watching the action.
VICKY
You sure you wanted to do this

It was for the skateboarding

At that point, Siegfrid is skateboarding from the other

side. Suddenly, the saw pops up and Siegfrids skateboard
crashes into it. Siegfrid flies off across the gauntlet
and into the pit.
Siegfrid exits.

Gemma, who is watching, stares and stands up in horror.
GEMMA
My god, did you just see that?
Adele stands up calmly. She gestures Gemma.
ADELE
Steady Gemma.

Jamal has just witnessed the moment with his eyes wide
open in surprise. He continues skateboarding and ducks as
the flail swings over him.

Gemma pulls a pained face.

Lee has just completed a lap and turns around.
Meanwhile, Jamal jumps with his skateboard over the saw

and lands back on the other side. Then continues
skateboarding.

(smiles)

starting points. Jett approaches them.

Okay, lets have the scores. And

girls, Id like to apologise for

Oh yes. Contestants, ready!
Danielle, Kylie and Vicky all ad-lip their ready

JETT
Cheerleaders, ready!
Natasha, Vanessa and Rebecca all wave.

Three, two, one! Release!
The cheerleaders pull the levers and the hovercrafts
launch from the pads and into the machine. At the same
time, the stop-clock appears starting at 1:00 and counting
down.
All three contestants fly straight into the pinball
machine. Vicky ricochets off one of the targets, followed
by Kylie who bounces between two targets. Danielle however
misses the targets and zooms into one of the lower
bumpers. She bounces off the bumber and into another one.
Then she lands on the left flipper. A fire sprout appears
from the hole. Danielle hits a flipper shaped button on
her control panel. At the same time, the flipper springs
up and sends Danielle flying to the top of the machine.
Meanwhile, the cheerleaders are analysing their score
boards as each one is gradually increasing in points.
Back inside the machine, Vicky swoops into the wormhole.
At the same time, the score board that Rebecca is
analysing changes digits. Vicky then shoots out of the
wormhole and hits the corner of a bumper. Then she lands
on the right flipper and hits the button on her control
panel. But nothing happens and she edges towards the hole.
A fire sprout appears.
VICKY
(panics)
Little help.
Danielle sees that Vicky is in trouble and leans to her
side, making her hover craft to tumble down to the botton
and touch the right flipper. Then she presses her control
panel and the flipper springs up, sending her and Vicky to
fly to the top.
VICKY
(calls)
Gee, thanks Danielle!
Danielle waves.
Soon, the stop-clock hits 0:00 and the buzzer sounds. The
fire in the hole disappears. The contestants hovercrafts
slowly slide down to the bottom and enter the hole
one-by-one; Kylie first, then Danielle, then Vicky.
Jett strolls to the exit door of the machine. The door
opens with smoke pouring out as Kylie, Danielle and Vicky
appear, coughing.
DANIELLE
(coughs)
Aw geez, its like being in a
bleeding chimney!

two bouncers outside the dressing room. She speaks with a
Russian accent.

cant let anybody in without a
pass.
BOUNCER #2
Plus youre son is in safe hands.
MRS. KRASOVSKA
He fell into the gauntlet. And
youre saying thats fine?
BOUNCER #1
We can assure you madam that we
have health and safety experts on
duty.
MRS. KRASOVSKA
(insistently)
I demand you let me in!
Mrs. Krasovska attempts to reach the door for the dressing
room. The bouncers manage to block her way.
BOUNCER #1
(struggles)

Mrs. Krasovska stops.

Mrs. Krasovska storms off to the arena. Gemma and Kayleigh

watch her as she exits.

It looks like a death trap. I

Gemma and Kayleigh sit down.

GEMMA
You saw that woman arguing with
them two guys out there. Lucys
got a point. My kids could be in,
like, real danger.
MOHAMMED
You lot are forgetting. Young
Danielles an incredibly bright
girl. Theyll be fine.

Danielle, Jamal, Kylie and Lee enter and stroll to their

panels.
Danielle is looking nervous. Jamal nudges her.

Welcome back to Thrill House, we

including the main event, which
is where you enter the Thrill
House itself. We have two teams
left; Kylie and Lee from the blue
team with one-hundred-and-sixty
points and Danielle and Jamal
from the red team in the lead
with one-hundred-and-eighty
points.

75 INT. THRILL HOUSE ARENA, MEGAZONE IN SPACE

Jett, Jamal, Danielle, Lee and Kylie enter followed by
Natasha and Vanessa.
There are four spaceship/plane-like vehicles in front of
them. Each vehicle is built with two side wings equiped
with a fake laser gun each, and eight colored glass
targets, four on the front, one on each wing and two on
the back.
JETT
Megazone in Space.
Jamal smiles.
JETT (contd)
Much like Megazone, except, think
taking part on the set for Star
Wars. Each one of you will be
manning one of these spaceships.
Youll remain working in teams.
To gain points, aim for these.
Jett points to one of the targets.

JETT
When you get hit, youll be
inactive for a few seconds. Each
target is worth ten points.

JETT
Whoever gains the most points
wins. Its as simple as that. So
if you could all climb into your
ships please, red team in the
red-marked ships, blue team in
the blue ones.
Jamal and Danielle each climb into a spaceship with the

red targets. Lee and Kylie each climb into a spaceship
with the targets matching the colour of their shirts.

Its a lot different to my

Jamal, Danielle, Lee and Kylie are each seated in a
spaceship. Natasha and Vanessa are each operating a
virtual scoreboard. Jett is stood in the middle.
JETT
Remember, only aim for the
targets. If you get stuck, the
instructions are next to the
control panels. Lift off!
The four propulsion engines on each spaceship sprout out

flames and each craft lifts slowly off the ground.
The ships stop at six metres above the ground. They face
each other.
JETT
You have two minutes. Stand by to
compete!
Pause.

JETT
Five! Four! Three! Two! One!
Thunderbirds are go!
The stop clock appears on screen starting from 2:00 and

counting down.
At the same time, the kids begin shooting fake lasers at
each other. There are improvised dodges and misses.
Lee presses the button on his left joystick in Jamals

direction, but Jamal pulls one of his joysticks and his
ship lowers down.
Meanwhile, Danielle swerves around and dodges the fake
asteroids.
CUT
As before
Gemma yells.
GEMMA
Come on Danielle!
CUT
The action continues as before.

Kylie fires a laser in Danielles direction and it hits
the side target on her ship. The targets lights go out.
Vanessa watches her scoreboard which reads 10.

DANIELLE
Oh shoot!
Danielles ship is slightly motionless, but still
floating. She watches a countdown device counting down
from ten seconds.
Jamal fires a laser at Kylie, which hits one of the
targets. Kylies ship is now inactive for ten seconds.
Natasha watches her scoreboard which reads 10

Danielles ship regains activity and she pulls her
joysticks into position.
Jamal turns around to face Lee.
78.
Jett looks up at the ships in action and presses a blue

Off button on the control panel.
Jamal fires a laser at Lees ship and it strikes one of
the targets. Suddenly, sparks and smoke fly out of Lees
ship where it has been hit. Lee is sent screaming and,
remaining seated, his ship crashes down to the ground.
JAMAL
Cool.
Natashas scoreboard changes from 10 to 20.

CUT

As before.
Gemma stares open-mouthed.
CUT

The action carries on as before.
Danielle swerves through the fake asteroids, dodging Kylie

who is firing lasers at her. Danielle then parks behind
one of the asteroids. The asteroid has a hole in it.
Danielle looks through and sees Kylies ship through it.
Danielle presses the button on her right joystick and th

laser fires through the asteroid, hitting one of the front
targets on Kylies ship. Sparks and smoke flies out of
Kylies ship where it has been struck. Kylie shrieks and
her ship drops down and crashes to the ground.

As before.
Gemma, Kayleigh and Adele stare open-mouthed in horror.

Danielle, still seated in her ship, stares at Kylies
wrecked spaceship in horror.
DANIELLE
(quietly)
My god.
Just then, the finishing siren sounds.
At that moment, the lights on the remaining spaceships,

piloted by Danielle and Jamal, switch off and the vehicles
slowly lower down to the ground.
When the ships touch the ground, Danielle and Jamal both
climb out of their ships.
Jett strolls up to them.
JETT
Well guys, youve won this round.
How did you find it?
DANIELLE
I know I did go to Megazone once
for my friends birthday party.
We knew the rules, but I think
weve actually killed our
opponants.
Jamal smiles and nods.
JETT
Not to worry, theyve lost, but
Im sure theyll congratulate
you. Natasha, how many points do
they have?
Natasha reads the scoreboard.

NATASHA
Danielle and Jamal have scored
thirty points.
JETT
Thirty points, which means the
red team are in the lead and
therefore are through to the
final round!
There is quiet applause.

JETT (contd)
(insistently)
I said theyre through to the
final round!

The doors of the Thrill House open slowly. There are
creaking noises and smoke pours out from through the
doors. They eventually stop at a ninety-degree angle,
parallel to each other.
JETT
(sinisterly)
All according to plan.
Jett then turns to Danielle and Jamal in surprise.

(clears throat)
As promised to the winning
contestants i.e. yourselves,

While Jett continues talking, a slideshow of still images
each representing an obstacle zooms-in on-screen.

Okay then Jamal.
Jamal gets ready to enter the Thrill House. He positions
his foot forward.
JETT (contd)
(looks at his stop clock)
Three! Two! One! Go!
Jamal runs through the doors. At the same time, a stop
clock appears on-screen starting from 3:00 and counting
down in seconds. The theme tune also sounds.

86 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, BLOOD POND
The audience are chanting. Jamal has just entered.

Jamal slides down the slide and plunges into the blood
pool. As he lands in the liquid, he grabs a card reading
100 and puts it in his pocket.
Jamal gets out of the pool and climbs the riggin. It takes
him five seconds to reach the platform. As he reaches the
platform, he looks to his left and grabs another nearby
card. Then he turns right and leaves the platform where he
enters a tunnel.
CUT
87 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, KNIGHT TUNNEL
The tunnel is straight and lined up on the right are suits

or armour. There is also loose dichloromethane acid
dripping from the ceiling.
Jamal runs straight forward. The suit of armours axes
fall, but all miss Jamal. He even manages to dodge the
acid drips. As he exits, he grabs another 100 card from
inside a miniscule porthole in the left wall. But a small
door closes on his hand.

JAMAL
Ow!
Jamal shakes his hand in pain.
CUT
88 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, BUGGY SLIDE

Jamal gets out of the tunnel, blowing on his hand. Then he
comes across a buggy from the top of a thin and curvy
ramp. He climbs in the buggy and it rolls forward. While
the buggy is rolling down the ramp, he find another 100
card from under the steering wheel inside the buggy.
Soon, the buggy reaches the bottom of the ramp and it hits
a closing wall. Jamal climbs out. Ahead of him is a giant
pyramid-shaped spiders web.
CUT
89 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, SPIDER WEB

Jamal commences climbing the web. He struggles with his
left hand due to the injury. He reaches for a 100 on his
right and then climbs to his left side.
CUT
Gemma, Kayleigh, Mitchell, Adele, Mohammed and Lucy are

cheering Jamal on.
GEMMA
Come on Jamal!
CUT

Jamal has just grabbed another 100 card. He then climbs
down from the web and touches the ground.
CUT
92 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, GARBAGE CHUTE
Jamal then runs to the Garbage Chute. He climbs up a

wooden ladder and onto a small platform. Then he slowly
crosses the rope bridge. He reaches for a 100 card
hanging from the left, but it detaches and it falls into
the chute. Jamal shakes his fist, then calms quickly.

JAMAL
(mouths)
Bugger it.
Jamal carries on and reaches the other end of the bridge.

The opposite platform takes him to the next part of the
Thrill House; the Bridge Of Death.
CUT
93 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, BRIDGE OF DEATH

Beneath the bridge, the electric eels are slithering in
the water. There are two magnets halfway between the two
halves of the bridge.
Jamal cautiously commences crossing the bridge.

CUT

Jett and Danielle watch the action taking place in the
Thrill House.
Jett smiles sinisterly and presses a secret button on his
control panel.
CUT

Jamal is half-way across the bridge above the electric eel
tank.
Suddenly, the magnets holding the two halves of the bridge
detatch and split the bridge in half.
JAMAL
Whoa!
Jamal manages to grab onto the plank at the very end of
the front half of the bridge as it tumbles. It stops at
the inside wall of the tank, leaving Jamal to hold onto
the end plank with his right hand.
Jamal reaches for the bridge with his left hand, but fails
due to the injury.
CUT
86.

As before.
The audience watch in surprise.

Gemma looks shocked.
GEMMA
Oh my god, Jamal!
CUT
As before.
Jett watches with joy.
Danielle watches in horror, she doesnt notice Jett
smiling.
DANIELLE
Jamal!
Danielle dashes through the entrance doors into the House.
Jett notices Danielle.
JETT
(in a displeased tone)
Oh no you dont!
Jett chases Danielle.

CUT
As before.
The audience are watching.
ADELE
What does Jett think hes doing?
CUT
Danielle enters. She charges down the slide and plunges

into the blood.
Jett enters and follows her.
87.
Danielle gets out of the blood and climbs the rope ladder.
Then she climbs onto the platform.
Jett crashes into the blood. He lifts his head up.
JETT
(calls)
Danielle!
Jett gets up and climbs up the rope ladder, continuing to
follow Danielle.
CUT
Danielle enters the tunnel with the suits of armour and

dripping acid. The suits of armour remain motionless and
their axes remain lying on the ground. Danielle runs jumps
over the fallen axes and manages to avoid the acid.
Jett also enters.

JETT
(calls)
Come back here you little food!
Jett runs, but trips over one of the fallen axes and hits
the ground. His hat falls off his head as well. A drip of
acid falls from the ceiling and lands on Jetts forehead.
JETT (contd)
(screams in pain)
Argh, son of a bitch!
The acid soaks in Jetts skin. A small Christian cross
shaped tattoo appears on his forehead. Jett gets up and
continues running for the tunnels exit.

101 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, BUGGY SLIDE
Danielle has just climbed into the buggy and is rolling

down the ramp. Jett exits the tunnel and runs down the
ramp. He is gaining on Danielle. Danille bumps into the
end of the ramp and climbs out of the buggy. She then
heads for the spiders web.
CUT

As before.
Jamal is still struggling to hold onto the split bridge.
The plank he is hanging onto starts to tilt.
CUT
Danielle starts climbing the web. Jett is still chasing

her.
Soon, Danielle reaches the halfway point up the web, but
Jett grabs her leg.
DANIELLE
Hey!
CUT

As before.
The audience stare in surprise.

Gemma looks appalled. She gets up.
GEMMA
Hes so bang out of order! That
is so it!
Gemma turns to go.
KAYLEIGH
Gemma where are you going?
Gemma stops.
GEMMA
I aint having Jett hassling my
kids. The only hell get at em
is through me!
Gemma marches off.
KAYLEIGH
Now wait a minute...
MITCHELL
Ah let her go young Kayleigh. She
knows what shes doing.
Gemma exits.

As before.
Danielle is still being held hostage by Jett.
DANIELLE
Jett, I have to help my brother.
Hes in real danger.
JETT
What that little freak over
there?
Jett points to Jamal who is still hanging on to the broken

bridge and dangling over the eel pool.
Danielle looks in the direction and turns back to Jett.
DANIELLE
Jamal may be an obnoxious
muscle-headed jerk, but he is my
brother.
JETT
And if I had produced something
like him, and was still dating
your mam, I wouldve arranged for
her to have an abortion.
Pause.
Danielle is surprised.
DANIELLE
You know my mum, Jett?
Jett nods her head.

JETT
My real name aint Jett Blunt.
Its Joel Bludger. Before you was
born, your mum and I was in a
relationship. We hooked up at
some nightclub in town. She was
quite politically dumb. But
luckily we soon had a bright and
beautiful princess.

DANIELLE

(smiles)
Yes Danielle.
Danielle curiously looks directly at the screen.
CUT
Gemma is arguing with the two bouncers outside the

dressing room.
BOUNCER #1
Im sorry Mrs Dickson, but were

the studio room without a pass.
GEMMA
Im Danielle and Jamals mother.
Theyre in real danger.
BOUNCER #2
Madam, we have professionals
handling each situation that
occurs.
GEMMA
(laughs sarcastically)

sitting on their arses letting
the children rot?
BOUNCER #1
Yes we must have our jokes,

GEMMA

Gemma storms towards the door, but the bouncers block her

Teresa interrupts by holding up her finger in the

bouncers direction.

Then she signals Gemma to enter the dressing room.

Gemma starts to move.

Forgive us madam.
Gemma nods.
She and Teresa exit to the dressing room.

Pond.

I should warn you Gemma that this
could be dangerous.

I dont care what obstacles I

Gemma starts to slide down.
GEMMA (contd)

Gemma splashes down in the blood.

Gemma and Teresa run through the tunnel and each leap over
the fallen axes.
TERESA
Mind the acid, Gemma.
A small drop of acid drips from the ceiling and falls on
top of Gemmas head. She feels it.
GEMMA
Ow, son of a...!
TERESA
Steady Gemma.

Danielle and Jett resume their conversation on the

spiders web.
DANIELLE
Dad I cant believe Im hearing
all this.
JETT
Oh come now little princess. Try
and see through the eyes of
someone whos had to put up with
an Asian floozy of a replacement
for my role model of a dad who
sacrificed his life to fight them
Asian morons.
Gemma speaks from off-screen.
GEMMA
Get your hands off my bloody

Jett turns round. He sees Gemma below him, also climbing
on the web and carrying one of the axes from the suits of
armour.
JETT
Well well, Gemma. Lovely to see
you again.
Gemma stares at Jetts cross-shaped tattoo on his

forehead.

Jett smiles and nods.
JETT
Youd make a great contestant on
Pointless, Gemma.
GEMMA
(angrily)

danger.
JETT

Jett looks at Danielle and gestures her. Danielle dodges.

Jamal is still dangling from the ladder above the eel
tank.

Gemma, Danielle and Jett resume their conversation on the

spiders web.

Danielle nods and climbs down. Jett grabs on of her arms
harshly.
JETT

Gemma squeezes her hands on the axe she is holding.

DANIELLE

Jett turns to climb down from the web. Then stops and
stares at Jamal at the eel tank.

Jett climbs down.

Danielle starts to climb down, but Gemma stops her.

Jett reaches the ground. Then he heads for the rope bridge
above the Garbage Chute and climbs up the ladder. He
reaches the bridge and starts to cross it. He sees Jamal
hanging from the Bridge Of Death as he walks across the
bridge.
JETT
Sorry kid, but sacrifices have to
be made. This countrys already
full.
Gemmas voice is heard from behind Jett.
GEMMA
...of bigots like you!
Jett turns around.
Gemma is standing on the edge of the bridge, holding the
axe.
GEMMA (contd)
Game over.
Gemma chops the rope with the axe.
The bridge flops over and Jett starts to tumble and falls.
JETT
(screams)
Argh!
98.
Jett plunges into the Garbage Chute. The sewage spirals

and Jett attempts to escape, but the force of the sewage
waves push him backwards and he is soon flushed down the
giant plughole with the sewage.
Jett exits.
Danielle enters and inserts a large plug in the hole.
Gemma stares for a while, then she turns her head to the
Bridge Of Death ahead of her, where Jamal is still hanging
onto the bridge.
GEMMA
Jamal.
Gemma climbs down.
CUT
Jamal is starting to slip from the bridge. An electric eel

pops its head out of the pool and sticks its tongue out in
Jamals direction. Jamal cringes.
Just then, Gemma enters from above the tank.
GEMMA
Jamal!
Jamal spots Gemma.
JAMAL
Mom, help.
GEMMA
Gimme ya hand!
Gemma reaches down.
Jamal swings his left hand upwards, but fails to reach

Gemmas hand.
JAMAL
I cant reach!
Gemma climbs down further.

JAMAL (contd)
And my hands bust!
GEMMA
Trust me!
Jamal swings his arm once again. This time, Gemma catches
his arm and her hand holds on tight.
99.
GEMMA (contd)
I gotcha Jamal!
Gemma pulls Jamal up.
Jamal climbs to the platform near the outside of the tank.

GEMMA (contd)
You okay Jamal?
JAMAL
(feeling his left hand)
I cant feel my hand.
Gemma groans sympathetically.
GEMMA
The sooner we get outta this
deathtrap, the soon well get you
to a doctor.
Gemma looks over the eel tank.
GEMMA
If we can get out of here. How
the hell are we supposed to cross
that thing?
Danielle re-enters. She is carrying parts of the rope from

the Spider Web, all of which are knotted together.
DANIELLE
With these.
Gemma turns round.

GEMMA
Danielle. Where did you get them
ropes?
DANIELLE
I borrowed them from the web back
there.
Teresa also re-enters.
TERESA
I helped out. I thought you could
use them to cross that tank.
GEMMA
How?
Danielle points at the ceiling railings above them.
100.
DANIELLE
See them railings up there. If I
could climb up there and tie this
rope in the middle...
GEMMA
Oh I get it.
Gemma places her hands under Danielles armpits and lifts
her up towards the railings. Danielle is still holding the
rope.
GEMMA (contd)
(struggling)
God youre getting heavy!
Danielle eventually reaches the railings and grabs onto

them.
DANIELLE
Okay mum, you can let go!
Gemma does so. Then bends down.

GEMMA
Oh me back.
Danielle lifts her legs onto the railings and still holds
on the rope.
DANIELLE
Could one of you grab the other
end?
Teresa grabs the other end of the rope.

Danielle reaches the railings above the center diameter of
the eel tank and ties her end of the rope there. She tugs
at it to ensure its tied tight enough to the pipe.
She then nods to the others.

Teresa, who is holding on the other end, runs to the edge
of the platform, jumps and swings on the rope across the
tank. Then she touches the platform on the other side of
the tank.
Teresa then flicks the rope back to the other platform.
Jamal holds his right hand out.
JAMAL
Im next!
GEMMA
Jamal are you insane?!
101.
JAMAL
No.
Jamal catches the rope with his right hand, then swings
across to the other side, doing an impression of Tarzan.
JAMAL (contd)
(acting)
Arrrrrrrrrr!
Jamal lands on the platform, then flicks the rope back to

Gemma.
Gemma catches the rope. Then she looks down nervously at
the eels. One of them flashes.
GEMMA
Here goes.
Gemma swings across the pool. Some eels dip their heads
out and attempt to gnaw at her.
However Gemma does not swing close enough to the opposite

platform.
GEMMA (contd)
Oh crap!
Gemma swings back to the previous side. She lands on the

platform.
JAMAL
Come on mum!
Still holding onto the rope, Gemma then runs and jumps off
the platform and makes another swing. Eventually, she does
reach the platform and lets go of the rope.
Meanwhile, Danielle, still crawling on the ceiling
railings reaches the destination above the platform. She
climbs down from the railings and hangs on via hands.
Danielle then drops from the ceiling and Gemma catches
her. She then lowers her down.
GEMMA
Thats over with.
Danielle looks down and encounters the Haunted Gauntlet. A
large circular saw buzzes in the middle.
DANIELLE
No mum. We still have more
obstacles left. Come on.
Danielle, Jamal, Gemma and Teresa climb down from the
platform and make their way down to the Gauntlet.
102.
CUT
118 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, HAUNTED GAUNTLET

Danielle, Jamal, Gemma and Teresa reach the Gauntlet and
find four skateboards.
GEMMA
Im supposed to skateboard across
this lane? I aint done it in
ages.
DANIELLE
Okay.
(to Jamal and Teresa)
Jamal, you and... sorry what was
you name?
TERESA
Teresa.
DANIELLE
Teresa. You and Jamal can go
first.
Jamal and Teresa each take a skateboard.
TERESA
Can you skateboard Jamal?
JAMAL
Well you saw me do it earlier on.
I aint as good as my sister.
Both mount their skateboards on the floor.
TERESA
After you.
Jamal starts pushing his foot down and skateboard forward.
As it goes forward, he continues to use the technique with
his foot. He ducks as the flail swings above him.
Teresa follows him.
Danielle turns to Gemma.
DANIELLE
Mum, I shall accompany you and
teach you how to skateboard.
GEMMA
Okay Dani.
Danielle lays her skateboard on the wheels. Gemma does the
same with her.
103.
DANIELLE
Mount the board.
Danielle climbs on her skateboard. Gemma does the same.
DANIELLE (contd)
Push it forward.
Danielle pushes her foot backward to move her skateboard
forward. Gemma does the same.
DANIELLE (contd)
And lean forwards.
They begin to accelerate. Danielle lifts her foot onto the
skateboard.
Just then, they come across the flail.

DANIELLE
Duck!
Danielle and Gemma bend down as the flail misses them.

Then, they come across the moving floor spikes.
DANIELLE
Jump!
Danielle jumps over the spikes with her skateboard and

lands, wheels-down. Gemma also jumps over, but her
skateboard stays on the ground. She quickly reaches to
grab the board from the other side of the spikes, but a
spike hits her arm.
GEMMA
Ow!
Gemma shakes her arm in pain.
Danielle stops her skateboard, right before the circular

saw ahead of her. Then she turns to Gemma. She then turns
to the circular saw and observes the gaps between each
blade spinning. Danielle picks up her skateboard and
places it on the saw with one of the wheel-bearings
inserted between two of the blades slowing the motion of
the saw down.
DANIELLE
(calls to Gemma)
Mum, come on!
Gemma runs to Danielle.

GEMMA
What do we do?
104.
DANIELLE
Climb over.
Danielle jumps over the saw. Gemma follows her, but almost
trips, but nearly tumbles towards the pit.
GEMMA
(gasps)
Oh my god!
Danielle grabs her away. Then she grabs the skateboard

from the saw and mounts it on the floor.
DANIELLE
Mount the board.
Gemma climbs on the skateboard.

GEMMA
Why?
Danielle then climbs on Gemmas back.
GEMMA
Dani, what the hell are you
doing?
DANIELLE
Trust me mum. Ride on!
Gemma pushes her leg down to move her skateboard forward.
DANIELLE (contd)
And remember to lean forwards.
Gemma continues riding and forwards towards the pit. She
closes her eyes in fear.
GEMMA
I dont wanna die, I dont wanna
die, I dont wanna die.
The skateboard nears the edge of the pit.
DANIELLE
Jump!
Gemma, with Danielle still holding onto her back, jumps
just before she touches the edge of the pit. They fly
across the pit. The skateboard falls in the pit. Gemma and
Danielle reach the other end of the pit only just. Gemma
grabs onto the edge.
Jamal and Teresa watch on.
105.
JAMAL
(calls)
Let me give you a hand!
DANIELLE
(calls)
No thank you Jamal, we can
manage!
Danielle climbs up from Gemma and on the ground. She then
reaches for Gemma and pulls her on the ground.
GEMMA
Thanks Dani.
DANIELLE
Wait.
Sean enters, from the pit, as he reaches his hand for the
edge. Danielle helps him up. Sean is covered in soot.
SEAN
Hi Danielle.
DANIELLE
Sean!
They hug.
DANIELLE
How did you survive?
SEAN
Whilst I got pitted, I was
heading for some chute. Then on
the way, I noticed another gap in
the wall, so I took that.
DANIELLE
Any of the other kids okay?
Sean shakes his head with doubt.
DANIELLE (contd)
Come on.
Danielle, Gemma and Sean run to the end of the Gauntlet,

where they meet Jamal and Teresa.
TERESA
(happily)
Sean, youre okay. How?
SEAN
Its a long story.
CUT
106.
119 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, SULPHUR RIVER

Gemma, Danielle, Jamal, Sean and Teresa run on. They come
across a pool of sulphuric acid with three large unstable
aluminium blocks in the acid, tops sticking out, and
forming stepping stones. There is a small crack on top of
the middle block.
TERESA
Watch where you step. This is
sulphuric acid. It can burn a lot
of things.
DANIELLE
Even human flesh, I know.
TERESA
Ill go first. Follow me.
Teresa takes a step on the first block, then slowly and
cautiously crosses the next blocks.
Jamal, Sean, Danielle and Gemma slowly follow Teresa,

one-by-one.
On the way across the stepping blocks, Danielle trips over
the crack in the middle block and falls over.
DANIELLE
Whoa!
Her glasses fall off her eyes and land in the acid.
DANIELLE
Oh crap!
Gemma helps Danielle back up on her feet.
GEMMA
You okay?
Danielle covers her eyes slightly.

DANIELLE
My glasses. I wont see where Im
going now.
GEMMA
Course you will. We can afford
more pairs. Come on.
Gemma and Danielle carry on. All eventually reach the

other side.
GEMMA
(mumbles and groans)
Please make this the last one, I
so wanna get out.
107.
CUT
120 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, TUBE SLIDE
Gemma, Danielle, Jamal, Sean and Teresa continue along the

Thrill House. Then they come across a transparent tube
slide.
JAMAL
(excitely)
Alright!
Jamal runs towards the slide.
GEMMA
Jamal, wait!
Jamal climbs in the slide.
JAMAL
Geronimo!
Jamal slides in, arm and head first. Then he plunges into
a medium-sized ball pool.
DANIELLE
(to Gemma, Sean and Teresa)
Come on!
Danielle slides down.
Sean, Gemma and Teresa start towards the slide. Sean
slides down.
TERESA
After you Gemma.
GEMMA
(doubtfully)
Okay.
Gemma slides down.
At the ball pool, Jamal and Sean are playfully throwing
balls in Danielles direction.
DANIELLE
Please guys, my visions of low
enough quality as it is.
Gemma enters plunging into the pool. Then she shifts away
from the slide and looks around.
GEMMA
This doesnt look too bad.
Teresa also enters via the slide.

108.
TERESA
We just have one more obstacle to
complete.
GEMMA
(groans)
Oh geez.
JAMAL
(enthusiastically)
Where is it?
TERESA
See that wall over there...
Teresa points to a climbing wall ahead of them. The wall
is made of stone bricks and measures twenty-four feet in
height, with bolt-on holds made out of the same material.
TERESA (contd)
Once we get up there, thisll be
our final destination.
CUT
121 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, STONE WALL
Gemma, Danielle, Jamal, Sean and Teresa climb out of the

ball pool and stroll across the gym mat to the wall.
Teresa starts climbing on the bolt-on holds. The others
follow.
TERESA
Keep an eye out behind you.
GEMMA
Why?
Some arrows are fired behind them. One of them hits the
wall, just missing Gemma. Gemma shrieks.
TERESA
Thats why.
The foursome continue climbing.

Danielle looks behind her cautiously. She also dodges an
arrow.
Jamal is using his left wrist rather than his hand, due to
his injury. He looks behind and continues climbing.
Suddenly, an arrow shoots straight into his right
shoulder.
109.
JAMAL
Ow!
Jamal falls off the wall and lands on the gym mat, back
down. He is unconcious.
Danielle looks down at Jamal.
DANIELLE
Jamal!
Danielle jumps down and runs to Jamal.

DANIELLE (contd)
(shrieks)
Jamal!
Gemma also jumps down.

GEMMA
(panics)
Oh my god! Is he okay?
Danielle feels Jamals chest.

DANIELLE
He aint breathing.
Gemma starts to feel emotional.

GEMMA
Jamal, please be alive!
Teresa and Sean jump down.
TERESA
Guys, Ill take care of Jamal.
You lot carry on.
GEMMA
But Teresa, Jamal...
TERESA
(insistently)
Go now!
Danielle turns to the wall.

DANIELLE
Come on mum, come on Sean.
GEMMA
(to Teresa, wiping her
tears)
Thank you.
110.
Gemma heads for the wall. She, Danielle and Sean resume
climbing. Teresa lifts Jamal off the floor and puts him on
her shoulder. She too heads for the wall to resume
climbing.
Gemma, Danielle and Sean are half way up the wall and
still dodging fired arrows. Very soon, the arrows
decrease. Teresa, with Jamal on her shoulder, is still
climbing the wall. She grabs one of the lodged arrows with
her mouth for support.
Soon, Gemma, Danielle and Sean reach the top of the wall.
Ahead of them is a rope and a paper burst with a Thrill
House logo pictured on it.
GEMMA (contd)
Now what do we do?
Danielle grabs the rope.
DANIELLE
I think this is the finishing
line.
GEMMA
Oh.
Short pause.
GEMMA (contd)
You two go ahead. Ill wait for
the others.
Danielle looks at Sean.

SEAN
You go first, Danielle.
Danielle climbs on the rope and swings through the paper
burst.
CUT
122 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, FINISHING AREA
Danielle lets go of the rope and lands on the gym mat.

Around her is a wider and more open space, aside from the
audience behind the plastic windows.
The audience cheers.
CUT

123 INT. THE THRILL HOUSE, STONE WALL

Gemma watches over Teresa as she is still carrying Jamal
and making her way up the wall. Sean, meanwhile, swings
into the paper burst.
As Teresa nears the top, Gemma turns round, grabs the rope
and swings through the paper burst.
CUT

Danielle and Sean are seated on the mat.
Gemma lets go off the rope and lands on the gym mat.
The audience cheers.
Teresa enters, swinging through the paper burst and with
Jamal in one of her arms. As she lands on the gym mat, she
lays Jamal down.
Jamal is still unconcious. Gemma rushes to his body.
GEMMA
(emotionally)
Jamal.
Gemma presses down on Jamals chest. Nothing happens.
Gemma starts to cry. Danielle and Sean also looks on. A
tear pours from her eye.
The audience are silent. Most of the members are solemn.

GEMMA (contd)
(to Teresa, through sobs)
Hes dead. Just like my husband.
TERESA
(calmly and patiently)
Here.
Teresa crouches to Jamals body and breathes into his
mouth. Jamal wakes up and coughs. His vision is at first
blurry.
JAMAL
(to Gemma, groaning)
Oh mum, we just finished school
hours ago.
Gemma, emotionally hugs Jamal. Danielle offers one to him
as well.
112.
GEMMA
Oh thank god your alive!
JAMAL
(groans)
Whats all the fuss about?
GEMMA
Didnt want you to end up like
your dad.
Gemma stops hugging Jamal and looks at his left hand and
right shoulder.
GEMMA (contd)
We need a doctor.
Natasha and Rebecca enter. Natasha has a microphone and

Rebecca has a first aid crate.
REBECCA
Ill take care of him. Im a
qualified first aider.
Gemma puts Jamal down. Rebecca goes to him, while Gemma,
Danielle, Sean and Teresa go to Natasha.
TERESA
Wheres Vanessa?
NATASHA
Shes had a few commitments and
has had to leave early.
Natasha speaks into the microphone.

NATASHA
So how do you feel now that
youve completed Thrill House?
GEMMA
(speaks into microphone)
Im absolutely relieved to have
gotten through this. That was for
my husband. Hes been gone for
over a year now. Its too late to
charge the culprit, but at least
weve got justice.
NATASHA
(speaks into microphone and
to audience)
Of course, Jetts no longer with
us now. Vacancies are now open
for host of this show.
CUT
113.

As before.
ADELE & KAYLEIGH

(chanting)
Gemma! Gemma! Gemma!
The rest of the aundience chant.
AUDIENCE
Gemma, Gemma, Gemma!
CUT

As before.
NATASHA
(speaks into microphone to
Gemma)
I think theyre rooting for you.
GEMMA
(speaks into microphone,
modestly)
Well I couldnt possibly fill in
for Jett.
Danielle intervenes.
DANIELLE
Mum, you know that money he left
for us in his will, I think we
should go ahead and take it
anyway. Youve always said about
our house bills and considering I
need new glasses.
TERESA
I have to agree with your
daughter on this one Gemma. Plus
youve earned ten grand and
collected prize money of 500!
The audience cheer.
GEMMA
(speaks into microphone,
smiling)
Sounds awesome. But let me assure
you, Im going to donate some of
it to some childrens charity.

GEMMA
God knows whats happened to some
of the other kids.
NATASHA
Good for you.
(to Danielle)
And how did you and Jamal find
this experience Danielle?
DANIELLE
It was a lot more fun than I
thought. Im sure my brother
enjoyed it too. I feel much more
confident, though I feel for the
others. Ive made new friends,
which aint been very easy, but
Ive found more than just one.
Danielle turns to Sean and they hug, passionately.

NATASHA
(smiles)
Awww.
Natasha turns to Gemma.

NATASHA (contd)
So are you still up for
presenting this show?
GEMMA
Ill think about it.
Natasha then turns to the screen.

NATASHA
Congratulations to Danielle and
Jamal, and of course their mum,
for completing this competition.
Its goodbye from me and its

Danielle places her knife on the the tip of her finger,

They continue eating.

Mitchell looks at his watch.

9 EXT. DOWNTOWN, BIRMINGHAM

Jett exits his apartment. His face is not present

10 INT. GEMMAS BEDROOM - DAY

Gemma is lying in a double bed. The curtains are half open

Adele is one of the customers. She is seated at one of the

12 INT. RESTAURANT - NIGHT

They kiss. Gemma exits.

13 EXT. OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT

Danielle removes her glasses.

Danielle balances her glasses on the tip of her nose.
