September Report 2017

Lance Rubin spoke to ten classes on September 26th.
It was a joy to see how involved students were with
the writing prompt he gave them. On September
28th, Herb Frazier, Bernard Powers, and Marjory
Wentworth spoke to students in an assembly, round
table, and a large group about tragedy and the power
of forgiveness.

Classes compared DISCUS, the catalog, and
Google for finding resources for a religion
research project. Students participated in
scavenger hunts during orientation sessions.
They also learned different methods of taking
notes, participated in BreakOut Edu, worked on
art projects, and checked out books.

Stats:  54 classes; 120 walk-ins; 101 morning crowd
877 books circulated (roughly 45 a day)
