Volunteer and Leadership Activity


Alternative Spring Break Team Member, Spring 2016, 2017. As a part of Nichols Colleges effort to
help restore New Orleans, Louisiana and Beaumont, Texas. Traveled to New Orleans (2016) to rehabilitate
towns with different roles such as drywalling, gardening, and painting along side residents of the city. Worked
with Habitat for Humanity to help build up the community in Beaumont (2017), framing a four-bedroom house
for a single mother of seven. Used circular saws, compound miter saws, and nail guns.
Emerging Leaders Program, Spring 2015 to Present. Accepted into a three-year program at Nichols
College focused on the development and cultivation of leadership skills.
Social Programming Board, Fall 2015. As part of the Executive Board at Nichols College. Manage the
Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat Social Media accounts to promote events, as well as create and hold weekly
social media contests.
Teaching Assistant, Fall 2015. For the First-Year Professional Development Seminar classes at Nichols
College. Planned class activities with the instructor, as well as grading students homework assignments.
