I havent yet, however, I wouldnt mind sending home student voice document and having
the whanau make a comment. This is a work in progress and I now have a document that I
 will send home with my Math students. I will be sharing this document with my team.

my target students learning. Another aim is to have the students reporting home with their
learning and progress. I am in the process of finding an app or site that works best for this.

3.1 Accelerate the progress
and achievement of students
who are achieving below the
National Standards.
We have been involved with the ALL
programme which saw the successful
acceleration of 12 students in the Upper
Middles. We employed an extra teacher to
help.
As part of the school inquiry we are also
targeting students in Maths. This has created
an acceleration in their learning as we have
adapted our teaching to their needs.
Tim has added a few more students to
his group. Renee has done the same.
Ari will add Max H to her group. Jan
Byers is now visiting Room 11 to give
Ari some release time to work with her
group, which has proven a success.

Book Week Renee has handed out the notice to give parents
and students an idea of what is going on. Renee
will take care of most of the tasks and
competitions. Book launch. Please give your
class time to prepare a short presentation of no
more than 3 mins.

Renee will set up the book tasting and we need to
assign time in our planner during Week 10 for
that.

Speeches We have all finished and have our finalists. Jade
has confirmed that she can be judge and Jan and
Vicki will be approached also. It will be held in Rm

1.1 Strengthen the visibility of We feel as a syndicate the car boot sale was
our Catholic Special Character. the perfect opportunity to showcase our
special character. This was shown through
the goodwill of the parent community and
some students who offered to help on the
day. Also showed the generosity of our
syndicate as we passionate about help the
Kaikoura school.
This has raised the profile of raising
funds for others and showing empathy
for those in need. Luciella and Sophia
made books to sell and raised $50.
Poppy is selling Fathers Day mugs and
giving half the proceeds.
Special prayers shared in the morning
are prayer needs for others not

Other Business
Agenda Item Discussion:
Winter On Tuesday next week. We are leaving at
Tournament 10.15am. We will meet the NMIT students at
Saxton Stadium. We will line the students up in
their teams and assign managers per team. Head
off to their venue. We will pick up the NIS
referees. From 11-12pm each venue will start
with a skills session that is provided for us. Have
lunch until 12.30pm. Competition then begins and
finishes at 2.15pm and come to bus.
Touch We usually attend the Catholic touch rugby
tournament. We need to get them involved in
touch rugby, skills sessions. Tim has asked for
parent help via a notice. In week 8 or 9 we need
to create time on the timetable to teach them
skills. Have the trials last week of term. Then we
will be ready for parents to come in and coach
teams Week 1,2,3. Tournie is 3rd Nov.
Science Fair All going well. Please send board to Rm 12 by
2.50pm. On Thursday at 12pm winners will be
themselves. They are thinking of
others and their needs.
Action:
Tim will write a list of each team per sport and
give to managers involved, and a draw if
available.
Notice will go out tomorrow (WED 30th). Attached
to that notice is a touch rugby notice. DONE
Tim to hand out notice tomorrow. We will take 2 x
sessions of touch rugby starting Week 8 on
Tuesday and Thursday straight after lunch until
2.10pm.
