Service Schools In 2017-18 SATP Appendix Options As the table above shows, the language in the 2009 NSAP is either a) generic non-policy language, b) no longer applicable, or c) now lives in another, more recent document. If the Board chooses to approve this year’s version of the Student Assignment Transition Plan as the standalone student assignment plan - removing any formal connections to previous assignment plans — it could do so without substantive additions added to the latest SATP. If the Board chooses to do this, it would remove “transition” from the title of the new plan, and include in the both the plan and the motion of the board action report that this plan supersedes all elements of previous student assignment transition plans and the 2009 NSAP. However, if there are director or community concerns about ensuring specific pieces of the NSAP live on and where that language may be located, staff are willing to talk through those concerns or leave the “transition” label in place.
