My complete name is: Orpah Gail Winfrey, I was named "Orpah" on my birth certificate

after the biblical figure in the Book of Ruth, but people mispronounced it regularly and they
said "Oprah" stuck
I born in January 29 of 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi into poverty in rural I actually have
63 years old
Im an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist, as
you know philanthropist mean a person who seeks to promote the comfort of others,
especially by the generous donation of money to good causes.
At the age of nineteen I began to flirt with the world of communication working as a
reporter at a Nashville radio station; I had entered 1971 at the University of Tennessee,
where I even won several beauty pageants. At twenty-two, I was move to Baltimore, where
I had an offer to present a TV show, People are talking. My first adventure on the little
screen lasted for eight years.

the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama and honorary doctorate
degrees from Duke and Harvard

group, in the area that today is Liberia. My genetic makeup was determined to be 89% Sub-
Saharan African, 8% Native American, and 3% East Asian.
