DREAM​ ​|​ ​A​ ​Circus​ ​Tale
The​ ​Fine​ ​Arts​ ​&​ ​Technology​ ​Department​ ​of​ ​the​ ​American​ ​School​ ​Foundation
of​ ​Guadalajara​ ​is​ ​proud​ ​to​ ​present​ ​the​ ​original​ ​production​ ​DREAM​ ​A​ ​Circus
Tale​ ​on​ ​November​ ​2,​ ​3,​ ​and​ ​4.

Internationally​ ​known​ ​Magician​ ​Javier​ ​Natera​ ​and​ ​celebrated​ ​Circus​ ​Artist
Guillermo​ ​Méndez​ ​of​ ​Bravisimo​ ​Ingenio​ ​Humorístico​ ​collaborated​ ​with​ ​7-12
grade​ ​students​ ​to​ ​create​ ​a​ ​fun,​ ​imaginative,​ ​and​ ​exhilarating​ ​original
theatrical​ ​production​ ​for​ ​the​ ​ASFG​ ​community.

The​ ​play​ ​follows​ ​the​ ​story​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Sullivan​ ​Sister’s​ ​Circus​ ​during​ ​the​ ​1930’s.
Times​ ​for​ ​this​ ​small​ ​family​ ​run​ ​circus​ ​are​ ​difficult​ ​due​ ​to​ ​the​ ​Great​ ​Depression.
Sisters,​ ​Emily​ ​Jane​ ​and​ ​Lula​ ​Sullivan​ ​attempt​ ​to​ ​save​ ​their​ ​loveable​ ​and
uniquely​ ​talented​ ​circus​ ​family​ ​by​ ​hiring​ ​an​ ​international​ ​magician​ ​to​ ​headline
their​ ​show.​ ​Can​ ​he​ ​save​ ​them​ ​all​ ​from​ ​financial​ ​disaster​ ​and​ ​separation?​ ​A​ ​story
of​ ​friendship,​ ​love​ ​and​ ​believing​ ​in​ ​your​ ​dreams.​ ​An​ ​exciting​ ​experience​ ​under
the​ ​BIG​ ​TOP​ ​with​ ​music,​ ​comedy,​ ​dance,​ ​clowns,​ ​magic,​ ​surprise​ ​appearances
and​ ​Ellie​ ​the​ ​Elephant.

A​ ​percentage​ ​of​ ​the​ ​proceeds​ ​will​ ​benefit​ ​the​ ​Drama​ ​Club​ ​Service​ ​Learning
Partner​ ​ReignMusic.org,​ ​an​ ​organization​ ​that​ ​shares​ ​the​ ​arts​ ​and​ ​supplies​ ​for
children​ ​and​ ​their​ ​families​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Hospital​ ​Civil.

El Departamento de Arte y Producción del ​American School Foundation of
Guadalajara se enorgullece en presentar la producción original de DREAM ​A
Circus​ ​Tale!​ ​los​ ​días​ ​2,​ ​3​ ​y​ ​4​ ​de​ ​noviembre.

El​ ​internacionalmente​ ​conocido​ ​mago​ ​Javier​ ​Natera​ ​y​ ​el​ ​célebre​ ​artista​ ​de
circo​ ​Guillermo​ ​Méndez​ ​de​ ​Bravísimo​ ​Ingenio​ ​Humorístico​ ​colaboraron​ ​con
estudiantes​ ​de​ ​7º​ ​a​ ​12º​ ​grado​ ​para​ ​crear​ ​una​ ​divertida,​ ​imaginativa​ ​y
estimulante​ ​producción​ ​teatral​ ​para​ ​la​ ​comunidad​ ​del​ ​ASFG.

La​ ​obra​ ​sigue​ ​la​ ​historia​ ​de​ ​el​ ​circo​ ​de​ ​las​ ​hermanas​ ​Sullivan​ ​en​ ​los​ ​años​ ​30.
Durante​ ​este​ ​tiempo,​ ​el​ ​pequeño​ ​circo​ ​familiar​ ​estaba​ ​en​ ​dificultades​ ​debido​ ​a
la​ ​gran​ ​depresión.​ ​Las​ ​hermanas,​ ​Emily,​ ​Jane​ ​y​ ​Lula​ ​Sullivan​ ​intentan​ ​salvar
su​ ​querido​ ​y​ ​talentoso​ ​circo​ ​al​ ​contratar​ ​al​ ​famoso​ ​mago​ ​internacional​ ​para
