Spangdahlem Community Schools
Unit 3820

Dear Mr./Mrs. Interviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I am interested in applying for a teaching
position at the elementary school. I am currently employed at a substitute with the DODEA and I
believe the skills and experiences that I have gained from this position make me an ideal
candidate for the job of a full-time educator for fourth/fifth grade.

As an Educational Studies major in my final year at Arizona State University, I have substantial
teaching education and experience.

My experiences through my education route and my substitute teaching has prepared me for this
position through numerous interactions with educating younger learners. Using teaching methods
that correspond with the Multiple Intelligence Theory, the Universal Design for Learning, and
requesting endless feedback, I will ensure a quality education for all students.

Listed on my resume is a summary of my qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. My goal

is to continue my career with this school district as a more permanent employee and make a
positive addition to your school district.

I am confident that my experience in Education alongside my compassion and determination will

qualify me for consideration. I have enclosed a copy of my resume. I look forward to meeting
with you. Thank you for tour time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Chelsea Johnston
