the Map’ at Aug. 29 Heritage Social

Heritage Social sponsored

Historical Museum. The
museum’s September
show, “Putting Manistee
County and Manistee on
the Map,” will be previewed
at the social, which will be
held from 4 to 7 p.m. in the
air-conditioned Manistee
Golf & Country Club.
People, products,
events, places, art, and
literature that brought
Manistee County and
Manistee fame will be in
this interesting and educa-
tional show. Featured will
be a special presentation
of Glen of Michigan, which
produced popular wom-
en’s, misses’ and children’s
designer sportswear in
Manistee that was nation-
ally known from 1951n to
1981.
