Banks led the charge today, with the Nifty Bank rising 0.88 percent and PSU Bank gaining 3
percent. Strong earnings by Punjab National Bank, one of the largest among top three PSU
banks, indicated that asset quality concerns may be easing soon.The 30-share BSE Sensex
was up 112.34 points at 33,685.56 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 28.70 points to
10,452.50.

Nifty November 2017 futures closed at 10486.80 on Friday at a premium of 34.30 points
over spot closing of 10452.50, while Nifty December 2017 futures ended at 10521.70 at a
premium of 69.20 points over spot closing. Nifty November futures saw an addition of 0.56
million (mn) units, taking the total outstanding open interest (OI) to 25.96 mn units.

Highest open interest has been seen in 10500 and 10600 strike price for call option and in
10300 and 10400 strike price for put option.
