Augusta Project
The Augusta Mission Center: Each month we are completing projects and discussing new projects both for the
campus facilities and for the missions/ministries. Our Masters Plan Team has completed their task and
assignment, and now a formal recommendation will be made to the Augusta Mission Center Board of Directors,
November 2, and then a plan will be submitted to the Executive Committee. This is a huge endeavor to configurate
the facility to handle the missions and ministries that will be accomplished through the center.
Blue Sky Institutes: Both the traditional and the Inner City/Urban tracks are being developed. The Georgia
Baptist Educational Institutes are our credentials agency. We will offer multiple opportunities for teachers and
students. Mark Otstot is the key contact at this point as the Registrar and Dean.
Augusta Mission Lab: Showers are ready, restrooms are ready, upstairs flooring needs to be completed, the
kitchen is being made ready. We are close to being ready for small customized team projects for this summers.
Contact Gail Griner for details. We will connect teams coming in with local churches. Visit New Orleans Mission
Lab and see what we desire to do starting on a small scale.

A Missionarys Message
Thank You for Prayers: I greatly appreciate all the prayers for Cathy and myself as we moved and transitioned
from Martinez to Evans. After 16 moves in our 36 years of marriage, we are praying this is the last move. Evans
may be our final stop and final resting place. We are blessed to have so many people praying for us. I am honored
to be your Associational Missionary Minister. I am starting to schedule my visits to churches in 2018. If I can be
of service to you or your church, please contact me. If I do not hear from you, I will see you on my 14-18 months
rotation.
We are Growing: We just added our sixty-sixth church and we are working on more churches becoming part of
our Baptist Association. Welcome, Maranatha Bible Church and Pastor Tony Liggins, to our association! Please
pray for us as we seek to establish a new multi-ethnic work, a new Hispanic work, and any other possible
established works joining our association.
Backpacks of Hope/ West Virginia: We still need backpacks to deliver and distribute to the poor children of West
Virginia. We need prayers for safety and the great opportunities in our three hubs: 1.) Logan, 2.) Summersville,
3.) White Sulphur Springs. Note: We still do a lot of mission and ministry work out of Huntersville, outside of
our White Sulphur Springs Hub. There are always opportunities at the Greenbrier Birthing Center. Please contact
Gail Griner, our City Planner and Commissioned Missionary, about planning and any specific logistics associated
with the backpack ministry.
Linking Arms Across the River and a C.S.R.A. Hispanic Work: As the Augusta Association of Baptist Churches,
we are going to focus on a broader missions and ministries endeavor in 2018. We are praying about and
researching the possibility of a new Hispanic Work in the C.S.R.A. and will have the newest demographics soon.
We will be seeking partners on both sides of the Savannah River to help with a multiethnic, Hispanic, or other
new works from a C.S.R.A. perspective. Our Cross Cultural Commission is seeking to expand our role in helping
as support with these and other missions and ministries endeavors. More information will be forthcoming and
leadership opportunities with a soon to be formed Board of Directors and Commissioners Seats vacancies to be
filled. Decision makers will have seats at the table for both direction and execution of missions and ministries.
Augusta Mission Lab is Coming: The missions and ministry building is close to being completed. We still need
the floors to be prepared and flooring installed. Restrooms, showers, and changing rooms are in the final stages
of being readied. We already have some teams wanting to come to Augusta this summer.
In His Secure Grip,
Dr. B
