Rosie Singhose sent me an email expressing her
thanks to OTC members for the nice card sent
during the road run. She wishes she could have
attended, but her current situation didn’t allow it.
She said it meant a lot to her that “we would
take the time to think about little ol' me. Rosie.”
I’d also like to welcome our newest members,
Dorian and Kathy Hartfield. Living in Sherwood,
Dorian and Kathy own Buckstop Truckware
(heavy duty bumpers) in Newberg. Dorian is
“very much” into Vespas, but interested in all
things vintage - motorcycles, trucks, cars,
tractors. Dorian also lists a 1933 Harley Davidson
VL flat head that’s nearly 75% complete. He’s
looking to have someone complete the HD
project accurately (correctly). Dorian has
collected a full range of Vespa scooters from
1952 through 1979, Vespa 3 wheel trucks, and a
Vespa car. Welcome to the club Dorian and
Kathy.

Meeting held in August. I’ve included these

Judging
Chief Judge Steve Dawdy presented the revised
AMCA Judging Handbook and draft Policy and
Operating Procedures for the Judging Committee.
We had editorial comments on both those, so
they will be revised for approval at Davenport.
We agreed that it is acceptable to release judging
results to the press, as well as publication in our
own magazine.
Nominating Committee
This new Committee led by Richard Spagnolli is
developing criteria to evaluate the numerous
candidates we have for Board positions.
Steering Committee
Richard also looks after this group, presently
evaluating issues for the Davenport Board
agenda.
Youth Coordinator
Matt Olsen is looking for someone to take over
from him. He also reported Ryan Mackey’s bike
build is proceeding well, and the finished bobber
built from parts donated by Club members will be
at Sturgis and Davenport.
Vintage Motorcycle Group Meeting
Myself, Del Schumacher and Richard Spagnolli
met with various other Clubs at the mid-Ohio
meet July 8th. We found much common ground
and agreed to meet again next year.
AMCA Trailer
We have two volunteers to haul the trailer to
meets in 2011.

Registration Process
Ray Dhue reported that Cornerstone Registration
are making the Website easier to use when
joining the Club or renewing membership, and
these improvements should be finished by
October lst.
President’s Paragraph

On the traditional back-to-back weekends of late
July and early August, the 30th annual Steam-Up
at Powerland in Brooks Oregon introduced the
first public display in the Northwest Vintage Car
and Motorcycle Museum (NWVCMM). Luckily, last
October I was selected to represent motorcycles
on the Display Committee. The Display
Committee consists of 12 people responsible for
the design of all vehicle displays in the new
NWVCMM building.
Eleven vintage motorcycles were on display for
the event. I selected eight, three of which
belonged to OTC members. Don Woodward
brought his 1913 HD and a 1925 Henderson 4.
Scott Gee displayed his 1948 Indian Chief. We
were pleased to count nearly 7,000 visitors
through the museum doors during the Steam-Up.
Overall attendance at this year’s Steam-Up
exceeded 28,000.
At the Display Committee meeting on August
19th, the Chairman announced details of the
museum’s Grand Opening Ceremony. All local
antique and vintage car and motorcycle clubs, as
well as financial donors are invited to attend.
Several vehicles will be on display. The ceremony
is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th from
1:00PM till 4:00PM. Expect free refreshments and
several guest speakers.
While wandering through the huge swap meet
portion of the event, Jeanne and I surprisingly
came across OTC members Jim and Rosie
Singhose. Jim and Rosie were vendors at this
year’s Steam-Up.
After the August OTC Business Meeting
adjourned, I convinced everyone to come out in
the 95 degree heat to view the OTC brick in the
NWVCMM patio. OTC purchased the brick to help
fund NWVCMM construction. Over 500 donor
bricks are installed.

August Business Meeting Minutes

I filled in as Secretary for the August meeting as
Shannon was away at another motorcycle event.
Here’s a brief accounting of the OTC Business
Meeting held August 14th, 2010 at the Texaco
Station in Powerland.
President Walker opened the meeting at 2:30PM
with 8 members and 1 guest in attendance.
Previous meeting minutes were approved without
changes and, according to Tom; we still have
money in the bank.
New Business
There was much discussion about the next two
runs, our 20th anniversary and a National in
2012. Four areas/locations were suggested:
Silverton (Oregon Gardens)
Hood River (possible 2012 location)
John Day
Cottage Grove
These are just preliminary suggestions. The club
is still open to other suggested locations before
making a decision early in 2011.
Old Business
Discussion continues about running a joint 2012
National run with the Evergreen Chapter. We’ll
explore this further with both groups to see if this
is plausible.

1940 Knucklehead Frame, uncut, with sidecar
loops, tool box strap etc. The tool strap has some
extra holes drilled in it by previous owner. There
is a small fork stop, which would be easy to

3 Scouts for sale. 1938 Scout with rebuilt motor
and matching frame. A 45-inch in a 741 frame.
Needs finishing with the wiring a misc stuff to get
it running. Painted a beautiful, $1500.00, 2-tone
blue. Last one is a 52-inch in a 741 frame. Has
the vertical twin front forks and front wheel, TT
warrior rear wheel, Jr scout tanks. All three
motors rebuilt by Ken Edmiston and never
