I am mentoring at the VCA Animal Emergency Hospital to learn

about veterinary science, but more specifically, commonly seen

conditions on military dogs. The VCA is a great place to get expe-
rience because they have their own in-house pharmacy and lab.
You also see a variety of different things while workings at an
emergency clinic. You never know what you might be treating
that day so you get a lot of fast paced learning here. You also be-
come more comfortable with things such as euthanasia's, which
can be helpful when wanting to go into trauma related careers.
