Caution:

1. Never short the battery.

2. Never place any of the components on a conducting

surface

3. Never connect this product to the electrical outlets in

your home in any way.
Warning:
1. NEVER open the faceplate without adult supervision.
2. Always check your wiring before turning on the switch.
3. Batteries:
Use only 1.5V AA batteries
Insert batteries with correct polarity
Do not mix alkaline, carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Never throw batteries in a fire or attempt to open its outer
casing.

Instruction:
1. If you are playing it for the first time please carefully
read the instruction and please notice the direction of
each component.
2. Always build the circuit from to the bottom layer to
the top layer.
3. The circuit may not work properly if the way
connecting them is wrong.
4. LED and motor will only work in one direction.
When connecting them the positive end should be
directly or indirectly connected to positive end of the
battery.
5. The positive end of the battery should be connected
to positive end of other modules (e.g. LED and Fan),
if applicable, otherwise consider the next component,
also the negative end of the battery should be
connected to the negative end of other modules.
6. Direction of wire module and switch module do not
matter.
7. When not using always keep the switch in Off state.
Project 1: LED and Switch
Bill of material: Objective:
Name Qty
Battery 1
You will learn how to turn ON
Switch 1
LED 1 and OFF with a switch.
Wire 1

First, place the battery module and the LED module in parallel and in
the direction shown in the picture, then place the switch module and
the wire module above them. Make sure the switch is in Off state.

Turning on the switch, you will see the colorful light. If not, please
make sure you connected them properly.

Warnings:
1. LED will only work in one direction.
2. Never short the battery.
Project 2: DC Motor and Switch
Bill of material: Objective:
Name Qty
Battery 1
You will learn how to run a mo-
Switch 1
Motor 1 tor with electricity.
Wire 1

First, place the battery module and the motor module in parallel and
in the direction shown in the picture, then place the switch module
and the wire module above them. Make sure the switch is in Off
state.

Turning on the switch, you will see the fans turning. If not, please
make sure you connected them properly.

Warnings:
1. Motor will only work in one direction.
2. Never short the battery.
Project 3: LED and Motor in Series
Bill of material: Objective:
Name Qty
Battery 1 You will learn how to power the
Switch 1 motor and the LED at the same
LED 1
time.
Motor 1

First, place the battery module and the motor module in parallel and in the direc-
tion shown in the picture, then place the switch module and the LED module above
them. Make sure the switch is in Off state.

Now the motor module and the LED module are connected in series. Turning on
the switch, you will only see some dim light coming from some of the LEDs, and the
motors are not working.

This is because when connecting them in series the power or voltage provided by the
batteries is not enough to power them one by one. You will see a solution in the next
project.

Warnings:
1. LED and motor will only work in one direction.
2. Never short the battery.
Project 4: LED and Motor in Parallel
Bill of material: Objective:
Name Qty
Battery 1 You will learn how to power
Switch 1
the motor and the LED without
LED 1
Motor 1 affecting each other.
Wire 1

First, place the battery module and the LED module in parallel and in
the direction shown in the picture, then place the switch module and
the wire module above them. Finally, put the motor module above
LED module. Make sure the switch is in Off state.

As you turn on the switch, you will find out both the LED module and
the motor module are working properly. This is the simplest example
of a parallel circuit.

Warnings:
1. LED and motor will only work in one direction.
2. Never short the battery.
Change batteries

First, you use a screwdriver unscrew four screws on the faceplate,

and take the faceplate off. Next, changing the batteries, make sure
you are using two AA battery in the same condition. Be careful
about the polarity of battery cells. When placing the face plate
back, make sure the label is in the right direction. The positive
sign of the label must on the side the red wire goes.
