1ST DAY TRAINING


2G-3G RNO SCOPE OF WORK

As RNO Engineer of 2G-3G must deliver this task


Daily Monitoring Performance (STS, Alarm which impact Performance, Worst Cell )
KPI Improvement and Timeline Achievement
Weekly Report Optimization and Analysis KPI improvement/degradation.
Manage DT and RF Team to fulfill DT KPI Achievement Target and Other Additional Task (Task Force)
Good Communication with other Department (RND, Solution Architect, Vendor and Customer/Operator)
Attend Internal/External meeting and fulfill agreed MOM (Minute of Meeting)
Responsive of related Network Issue and able to Escalate the problem outside of Radio Network Scope
Perform daily activity tracking both NCCR,HCR and Other activity such as Audit, Trial and Task Force Implementation
which impact to Radio Network Performance.
4G RNO SCOPE OF WORK

As RNO Engineer of 4G must deliver this task


Monitoring Overall Task on 2G-3G Engineer RNO
Manage Layering Strategy between 4G to 2G/3G (PS IRAT/CSFB)
Achieve DT KPI 4G Objective both Static and Mobility (Throughput and CSFB)
Manage DT and RF Team to fulfill DT KPI Achievement Target and Other Additional Task (Task Force)
Good Communication with other Department (RND, Solution Architect, Vendor and Customer/Operator)
Attend Internal/External meeting and fulfill agreed MOM (Minute of Meeting)
Responsive of related Network Issue and able to Escalate the problem outside of Radio Network Scope

which impact to Radio Network Performance.
COMMUNICATION WITH COSTUMER

Communication with Costumer is important part of RNO to create long relationship between projects and
contract of work
Costumer will ask how many issue on their network already resolved by the RNO per Week Weekly Report
All Finding will more valuable for customer and related solution will satisfied Customer HCR, NCCR etc
Dedicated and Responsible of each task which shared as Network Improvement Target from Customer KPI
Improvement
Create Win-win solution between vendor objective and customer target will make RNO position more better MOM
target achievement
Deal with other solution both from vendor(Solution Architect) and Quality Assurance Trial / Task Force
LISTEN OF COSTUMER COMPLAINT IS Relation is based on SOW Project and Initial Agreement
IMPORTANT FOR RNO
HANDLING REPORTING

Reporting is part of routine task of RNO both Daily and Weekly


Daily reporting is recorded, tracked and measured as Activity Routine RNO to achieve Short Term Goal
Daily reporting is used as history of issue, finding and analysis which useful to select other alternative optimization
Weekly reporting is used as presentation to the customer about KPI Performance Trend, KPI Target Achievement and
Action Point improvement
Both Daily and Weekly Reporting must have agreed template both from vendor or customer requirement.
Good Reporting is achieved when Data is valid (both STS/Alarm/Activity end Escalation done) and match able with current
condition of Network Status
Generating report need skills to use tool of Database, Network Monitoring(SYBASE, MCOM, GE, ATOL,BO, DBVIS etc)
REPORTING SHOWING PROGRESS Slightly Improvement make costumer happy and increase confident
ANALISYS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Analysis is daily important tasking of RNO Task


While Network has global issue, RNO must the first person who know about the Issue and how to solve it
Analysis skill depend on experience and deep knowledge on related Technology (2G/3G/4G)
Using Tools is another expertise of RNO for fast analysis and accurate finding symptoms. (MCOM, TEMS, BO, M2000 etc)
Troubleshooting of Issue
Troubleshooting has been divided by time solution both short and long term solution
Short Term solution can be achieved by adjust Parameter, Consistency Check and Trial New parameters.
Long Term solution can be done by audit site, proposed new site for congestion relieve and changes HW issue.
Capacity issue is also another long term solution to handling congestion issue and user limitation access which impact to
accessibility.
ART AND TECHNICAL OPTIMIZATION

Some of RNO has standard action and clue for some ordinary network issue such as how to relief congestion, to
reduce speech drop and improvement mobility issue (SHO,IRAT, IFHO etc)
Standard action means if occur network issue such as speech drop first they must have to know about the root
cause. Speech Drop due to interference, RNO must have to know about how bad interference will affect the
speech drop increase. Both internal and external issue of interference will handling with different ways
Technical Optimization is specifically by vendor Technology (Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, ZTE etc) and RNO which
has wide experience is more valuable rather than less experience.
Art of Optimization means there is another way to resolve network issue rather than classical way. Optimization
doesnt mean to get the maximal value but the optimal value is the best set value which balance between one to
another KPI improvement.
