Welcome Back - I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. A special thank you to

Reading: It's A Deal; Main idea and details, all of those who came to Parent Teacher Conferences. I enjoyed being able to discuss

summarizing, Reading Test on Friday
your child's progress with you. We have 4 weeks before our next break, and we will be
working hard to complete units before the holidays.

Language: Writing strong sentences, Accelerated Reader: students should be reading their AR books and taking their tests.
We are already 25% done with Quarter 2 which leaves 75% left to meet their AR goal.

Capitalization
Students can take tests before school and at lunch recess. Students should be putting

Art: Meet the Masters Assembly on Thursday Time- We have begun our next math unit on measurements. The students have been
practicing measuring to the 1/4 inch with a ruler. We have a quiz on Friday covering
and project on Friday
measurement. Next week we begin telling time. Please continue to practice with them at
Parent Helpers Mon and Tuesday 4th week home by asking "What time is it?" "What time will it be in ____minutes?" "What time was
it _____minutes ago?" This will really help them solidify the concept of elapsed time. I
Wednesday and thursday 5th Week have added some links on Weebly for some ABC Ya games on the computer to practice.
