The calculations of this spreadsheet were derived and coded by T Mark Hightower of blogs tmarkhightower.com
tmarkhightower.blogspot.com and steemit.com/@tmhightower where all three blogs currently have
essentially the same content. The calculations reflect interpreting the coordinate latitude longitude data as
if it were accurately representing locations on the azimuthal equidistant map but erroneaously interpreting
that map as if it were an accurate respresentation of an actual flat earth, where distances on that map would
have to scale the same in all directions, by definition. Dt is interval of time from point to point. Dd is the interval
of distance from point to point based on the geometry of a flat circular disk shaped earth. The distance d is the
cummulative distance traveled. The speed calculated from point to point is sp, spcum is the cummulative
average speed, and sp, sm is the speed smoothed over the previous 10 intervals.
