Objectives

symptomsofillorinjuredstudentsattheSpecialNeedsSchool.
TobuildconfidenceinCEAIpersonnelandincreasetheirwillingnesstorespondincaseofa
medicalemergency.

Summary

GVIMexicoiscommittedwiththeUNSustainableDevelopmentGoalsandprovidingqualityeducation
andmakingpartnershipforthegoals.ThismonthourFieldStaffprovidedEmergencyFirstEmergency
ResponsecertificationcoursetoCEAIpersonnel.Forsomethiswasarefreshercourseandforothers
thefirsttimetakingthiscourse.

Report

EmergencyFirstResponsecoursesencompassadult,childandinfantCPRandfirstaidskills.Alsooffers
comprehensive First Aid at Work courses, specifically designed to meet national and international
compliance standards for CPR and first aid courses in the workplace. Emergency First Response
coursesareflexibleindesigntoaccommodateschedulingandtrainingneeds.

TobuildconfidenceinthemembersofCEAIisveryimportantsincetheyworkwithkidsallthetime.
Inthistraining,theywereabletolearnandpracticethetechniques.

PrimaryCare(CPR)areskillsforaidingpatientswhoarenotbreathingornotresponsive,whommay
have a spinal injury, shock or serious bleeding. They learnt how to perform CPR and continue to
monitorthepatientthroughtheCycleofCareusedbyMedicalProfessionals,sothattheycanincrease
thechanceofsurvivalwhilewaitingforemergencymedicalservicestoarrive.

SecondaryCare(FirstAid)helpstoassessavarietyofinjuriesandillnessesthatarenotimmediately
lifethreatening,andpracticebandagingandsplintingtofurthersupportpatientsifneeded.

Medicalemergenciesanddangeroussituationshappenandweareneversurewhentheywilloccur,
forthisinstanceweneedtogettrainingandbeprepared.Firstaidtrainingcansaveorrestorelives,
makeadifferenceinbetweenshortorlifelongdisabilitiesordiminishtherecoverytimeofpatients.A
smalltimeinvestedintolearningtheseskillscanproduceadvantagesfortheparticipantsinpreventing
andrecognizingtheseemergencies.

Thiscoursedealswithseriousissuesbutitcanalsobealotoffun.
