Traffic transport problems in Lima

The number of cars has risen in Lima since two thousand, so the traffic became a terrible
problem. This essay considers to give solutions to increase of cars and to explain the
importance of public transport.

Nowadays, Lima has great problems with public transport. The main problem is the number of
old cars and buses that are used for public transport because these cars and buses are very
slow and contaminate environment , the mentioned above cause that people feel very
stressed and arrive very late for work.

Another problem is increased number of private cars, there are lots of people that buy car to
avoid the Traffic, but they cause more traffic than before.

On the other hand, government should decrease old cars and buses that are used in the public
transport and promote the purchase of new cars and buses. Also, the mayor should try to
reduce the number of private cars because it would be unnecessary with a good development
of public transport (new cars and buses, new metro, etc.).

In conclusion, I agree with the way to reduce congestion and air pollution by promoting people
to use less private cars and begin to use more the public transportation.
