1. 2011-
Zaloni Headoffice shifted from Wireless, Guwahati location to Nexia Park, Christian
Basti, Guwahati.______________________________Operational change
Why change was needed..Since Zaloni being the fist IT company in the
Northeast it was growing at a very fast rate with Cutting edge technologies to work
with and challenging Big data problems to solve and the space available was not able
to support the manpower and infrastructure.
How effective change wasZalonis office was now able to give its workforce
More space, a nicer office or a better location. With the new architecture of the office
new methodologies such lean working and swarm intelligence, was being
implemented now It also has a table tennis and other recreational equipment, plus a
corporate cricket team and a music mixing console in our amphitheater.
2. 2012-
Zaloni released the first software product, the Bedrock Data Lake Management Platform
which is pioneer in Assam.______________________Anticipated Change

Why change was needed . Zaloni was dealing with a high amount of Data and the
traditional Data Warehouse was not satisfying the need of the customers. So
introduction to a data lakes was a very welcome move.

How effective change was.. Zaloni with its Bedrock Data Lake Management
platform got a unified, integrated approach to data lake management, governance
and democratized data access, Zaloni was able to extend its customer base. New
ustomers like like CDS Global, Gap Inc, Fios, Orange etc. joined Zaloni. Zaloni Bedrock
Data Lake Management Platform was recently selected by a Fortune 50 enterprise to
enable big data solutions for advanced analytics. The company signed a three-year
multi-million dollar software contract as a first step in building out their vision of a
consolidated enterprise

Zaloni introduces MICA: The Enterprise-Wide Self Service Data Preparation Platform for

Why the change was needed-Data preparation is one of most difficult and most time-
consuming challenges facing users of BI and data discovery tools, as well as data
scientists. The unprecedented growth in multi-structured data has contributed to
greater effort required in preparing the data to support decision-making processes.
Hence, the need of a proper tool was there to addresses this gap. The Mica Platform is a
self-service data preparation platform that enables data cataloging, data discovery, data
curation, interactive and visual data preparation, and collaboration for customers who
want to democratize access to the Hadoop Data Lake.

How effective the change was - Mica 1.0 provides Data Scientists and Business Analysts the
tools they need for interactive and visual data preparation. With Mica, business analysts, data
scientists, and IT teams can collaborate and effectively govern the end-to-end data
management process, using a self-service model, while remaining confident in the quality and
integrity of the data. The Mica 1.0 Platform sits on top of Zalonis Bedrock Data Management
Platform. Mica leverages Bedrock for data organization, metadata management, and execution
of transformation logic on the Hadoop cluster. Once rules have been established within
Bedrock, those same rules apply to how data are governed and managed within Mica. Business
users work within an easy-to-use interface to bring new data into the Bedrock Data
Management Platform, or to shape and refine data that already exist within Bedrock. Business
users have greater access. By reducing the time spent on data preparation tasks, the time to
data analytics and actionable insight is dramatically reduced.

4. March 7,2016-
Durham Startup Zaloni raises $7.5 million in funding that the company has earmarked
for boosting its sales and marketing efforts and expanding into new

Why the change was needed They wanted to able to keep up with demand and also
for boosting its sales and marketing efforts and expanding into new markets. They also
wanted to add features to its two software products, Bedrock and Mica.
How effective the change was- Previously, Zalonis sales have been mostly limited to
North America, but the company has now expanded into the Asia Pacific. They have also
expanded to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. They have also increased their
workforce and have started hiring more people to work for their organization.

How effective the change was- Appointing data management industry veteran, Tony
Fisher, as its head of strategy and business development set a course for successful
future growth. He was a person of great caliber & leadership quality. He continued
delivering on the promise of big data, turning it into knowledge and revenue for todays
enterprise more effectively. He also helped the company transition to market leadership
in providing platforms that offer end-to-end big data lake management. He guided the
company through tremendous growth in providing data quality and data integration
solutions.
6. September 8, 2016-
NetApp partners with Zaloni to launch mid-tier system for data
lakes___________________________________Transformational Change

Why change was needed - The move came amid a bevy of tech vendors courting mid-
sized companies & also to manage the information lifecycle. Their aim was particularly
around improving their ability to process data analytics.

How effective the change was - Zalonis Bedrock software lets customers better
manage their data lake environment, and their software has been validated with their E-
Series storage. The ability to do data lifecycle management with tiering, fits nicely with
the E2800 to provide a hybrid approach for data lifecycle management. This
paertnership has lead to address this unique position in the market. NetApp E-Series
and NetApp StorageGRID Webscale storage options has been enabled the organizations
to define logical data lakes both on and off premises, as well as provide end-to-end
management and governance of data in the data lake.

How effective the change was - Mica 1.2 supports Zalonis overarching vision for an
integrated big data ecosystem, in which a central data lake ingests, stores and
transforms data and can feed data back into a traditional data warehouse or
visualization tools. Mica 1.2 provides the intuitive UI and connections to applications
that make it easier for more business users to do data analytics and takes more of the
day-to-day burden off of IT and development. Mica already works across hybrid
platforms that span on premises and cloud with support for AWS and Azure
environments. In this new release there is added support for adjacent relational data
stores.
This has made the organization more agile and flexible and solved the need to quickly
prepare, explore and garner operational insights faster.

8. October 20, 2016 Today, Zaloni announced it is collaborating with Dell EMC to help
drive Dell EMCs big data vision with the availability of Analytic Insights Module (AIM).

10. April 19, 2017 Zaloni, the data lake company, today announced two hires in key
leadership positions: Chad Olds as vice president of worldwide sales, and Michelle

13. September 5, 2017 - Zaloni announced today a sales partnership with WSN-France, led
by Jean-Michel (JM) Carre and Robert Ducassou, which will represent Zaloni in Southern
Europe as Zaloni builds its business in the region, specifically in France, the Netherlands,

14. September 27, 2017 - Zaloni today announced the recent hire of Mike Steed as Vice

today introduced a machine-learning data matching engine, which leverages the data
lake to create golden records and enable enriched data views for multiple use cases

matching to provide enriched data views for 360 initiatives. It leveraged the data lake
