E-Portfolio Activity

Chapter 1: Getting Started

With the start of the Guided Practicum class, I had no real idea on what activities we would
complete. I assumed that the class assignments would be hand in hand with our internship experiences.
During the first class, I was introduced to the E-Portfolio. I have not had experience with creating an E-
portfolio, and I do think the project will be interested. The E-Portfolio is used by faculty to determine how
well students have accomplished the learning outcomes of our program. After being presented with an
example E-Porfolio in the first class, I concluded there is flexibility with how we get to create our final
project. This E-portfolio has also introduced a new way to express ourselves as it can be listed on our
resume for professional use.
Regarding the internship specifically, I am more than excited to get started. I will be interning at
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware. After meeting with my site supervisors, I felt extremely welcomed
and the atmosphere felt great. I am nervous simply because unlike my internship for my undergraduate
studies, I will be holding administrative tasks. Although, I chose this career path, it is still overwhelming
as I have little experience within the Human Services profession. I am confident that once the process
starts, the nerves will disappear and I will be able to flourish within this internship.
