objects, will a) tell how many are in the set by counting the
number of objects orally; b) write the numeral to tell how
many are in the set

Probability and Statistics

Focus: Data Collection and Display

K.13 The student will gather data by counting and tallying.

K.14 The student will display gathered data in object graphs,
picture graphs, and tables, and will answer questions related
to the data.

attributes.

to make a pile, filling in the graph with the appropriate
number by using the pen tool and coloring in the

5. Students will take turns working out each scenario and
can ask for assistance from another child in their
group. Students are NOT to tell the answer to the other
classmate, instead, they are encouraged to show them
a way to work out the problem.
6. Some slides may ask the students to create their own
addition or subtraction problems. The students will use
the pen tool to write each number in the boxes
provided and also solve their own math problem.
7. In this lesson, the teacher is just a facilitator and the
students are encouraged to learn from each other.
