SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

I. Objectives : At the end of the 60 minutes discussion the Grade 7 students with the 85% proficiency
shall be ble to :

a. Identify the parts of the flowers


b. Arrange the parts of the flowers
c. Appreciate the beauty of flowers

II. Subject Matter: Parts of the Flowers

III. Materials : Flowers Visual Aids

IV. PROCEDURE

A. Preparetion: - Prayer
-Greet the students
-ask them to seat properly for the lesson proper

B. Motivation : In the calss , the Teacher will group the class into 2 groups, Each group will
be given a puzzle (flower) the each group will arrange the puzzle with the time given by
teacher.

C . Lesson Proper : PARTS OF THE FLOWERS

Flowers not only look pretty but, in fact, are important in making seeds. Flowers have some basic parts.
The female part is the pistil. The pistil usually is located in the center of the flower and is made up of
three parts: the stigma, style, and ovary. The stigma is the sticky knob at the top of the pistil. It is
attached to the long, tubelike structure called the style. The style leads to the ovary that contains the
female egg cells called ovules.
D. Activity : Each group will identify the parts and arrange it according to its perspective
parts.

Each group will show their output in front of the class an only one representative in each group will
explain.

F. Application : Pass n Roll

Mechanics: There will be a ball which will be passed. When the song ends the students
who got the ball in his hand will be given a question and in front of the class he/she
answer it.

G. Evaluation :
1.Peduncle: The stalk of a flower.
2. Receptacle: The part of a flower stalk where the parts of the flower are attached.
3.Sepal: The outer parts of the flower (often green and leaf-like) that enclose a developing bud.
4.Petal: The parts of a flower that are often conspicuously colored.
5.Stamen: The pollen producing part of a flower, usually with a slender filament supporting the
anther.
6.Anther: The part of the stamen where pollen is produced.
7.Pistil: The ovule producing part of a flower. The ovary often supports a long style, topped by a
stigma. The mature ovary is a fruit, and the mature ovule is a seed.
8.Stigma: The part of the pistil where pollen germinates.
9.Ovary: The enlarged basal portion of the pistil where ovules are produced.
