Installing SideWidener is very simple. There are two install types, one for Windows
and one for Mac. Each installer contains both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of all applicable
plugin formats for both platforms.

Locate the setup exe file and double click it to begin the installation
Step through the installer and be careful to read each step and provide desired options

Locate the setup dmg file and double click it to mount the installer image
This will create a new virtual drive in your Finder, open this drive and run the package
Step through the installer and be careful to read each step and provide desired options

Both installers will ask you which folder location youd like to install 32 bit and 64 bit plugins
respectively. You may also choose which plugin formats youd like included with your install.

The formats that are available for SideWidener are:

The controls for SideWidener were designed to give you form and function, while
maintaining a quick and efficient workflow. SideWindener is a pseudo-stereo enhancer taht
gives width to your mono sources without effecting the mono compatibility of the mix,
meaning no matter how much width you add with SideWidener, the sound of your mono mix
will not be affected. SideWidener can also be used as a stereo smearing effect on stereo

Width (0 to 100)
This knob controls the width of the output. It is like adding smear across the stereo
field to give your mono tracks width and space. Note that the width that is added will
not affect the mono compatibility of your mix.

Mode (Mode 1, Mode 2, Mode 3)

Three methods of adding width are included. Mode 1 provides the most subtle width,
but keeps the time domain from becoming smeared. Mode 3 provides maximum
width, but also causes smearing in the time domain (almost like a room reverb sound).
Mode 2 lies in between mode 1 and mode 3.

Tone (0 to 100)
This knob controls the frequencies at which the stereo widening occurs. When the tone
knob is turned fully counter-clockwise, the midrange frequencies are emphasized in
the width. When the Tone knob is rotated fully clockwise, all frequencies are widened.

Hint: Lower Tone values work well for emphasizing vocals without adding harshness
or boom to the width.

Bypass (Off or On)

This will allow you to quickly bypass the affected signal. The default value is Off.

Output (-inf dB to 0 dB)

The output knob provides a way to adjust the overall volume of the output signal
coming from the plugin. The default value is 0 dB.
The controls have some additional functionality and alternate ways of interacting with
the controls via the following methods:

Double Click / Right Click

This allows you to manually type in a number value for the control point
Control or Command + Click
This allows you to reset the control point value back to default
Shift + Click
This allows you to have a finer mode of control over the control point
Right Click (VST3)
This allows you to access the automation menu supported by the VST3 format
