Activity This Method statement illustrates all necessary procedure to be adopted during following snag works on Fire Fighting system. Introduction  Fire Fighting System snag works shall be carried out as per below procedure. 4. Sprinkler.  Electrical Hazard. Water Spray & Hydrant.  To perform the labeling & tagging works.  Protection system – CO2. o Proper storage of Materials and tools shall be carried out.1.  Slip / Trip / Fall – Same level.  Detection system – detector.  Manual handling (shifting / manual lifting):- o Manual handling techniques shall be communicated. o Keep head up. o Safety shoes shall be checked for cleanliness while climbing ladder.  Tools:- o Hand / Portable tools shall be inspected prior to work starts. o Prior inspection by competent person shall be done. o High level lifting should be preferred to stages.Type ladder only. o Wear PPEs and any additional safety requirements. o Skilled personnel shall be deployed. o Ladder shall be inspected prior to work start.  Electricity Hazard:- o Power Supply to be isolated by Competent person . o Full body harness shall be worn and hooked up. Hand gloves shall be worn. o Helmet. Safety Shoes. arms close to body. o MSDS shall be referred and followed. o Pressure to be maintained shall be communicated to the concern technician by competent person as per specification. o Come close to the load to be lifted & attain a firm stable position.  Fall from height:- o Employees shall be strictly instructed to use A. o Top 2 rungs of A-Type ladder shall be covered. o Correct tools for the job shall be ensured.  High Pressure (CO2 / Water):- o Calibrated pressure gauges shall be made available. o Skilled personnel shall be deployed for Pressurization / depressurization of the system. Electrical work related with Fire Fighting System o Electrical works related with Fire Fighting System will be carried out by relevant Electrical Engineer / Supervisor of Fire Fighting Subcontractor. o Check the operation of the installed Detectors / modules by activating the zone in FACP. o Additional Detectors / modules shall be provided as per O/E comment. o Fixing of Label by adhesive paste (wherever required). o MSDS to be followed. o Isolate the concerned Zone from the system o LOTO system to be followed. o Alignment of the labeling to be verified Piping Modification / rectification works o Isolate the piping from the system by depressurization. o Normalize the system after pipe modification. o Leak test shall be carried out for the modified pipe circuit. Painting o Touchup paint to be done wherever required. o Drilling shall be carried out for label fixing by Screw. o Ensure the piping circuit is completely depressurized. same shall be communicate to all parties. . o Modification / rectification shall be carried out for the corresponding pipe.

Emergency procedures  In case of major Injuries o Do not panic. o Victim shall be transported to hospital in an ambulance. he shall be assessed by a trained and qualified first aider before moving.
