Education plays a vital role in society whether it may be primary, higher, Intermediate or Engineering/Medicine/PG. Now a days, parents are very particular about the education of their children. Every parent is spending nearly half of their earnings for education. After LPG(Liberalization, Privatization, Globalization) apart from government institutions private players play a vital role in providing good education. Now education becomes corporate and many big corporate institutions are providing good education. India Post can also capture good revenue from education sector. There are so many ways and means are prevailed in this sector. At present India Post is getting good revenue from examinations and sale of applications. Here I am going to illustrate some small source of income to the department. Market scanning:Step 1:Market Survey:All the delivery staff are given with the following questionnaire/proforma to collect information from all the house holds in their delivery jurisdiction. Step2:At HO/SOs:The SPM/Regn.PA will computerize the data in the templates provided by RO(excel sheet or tabular form). Step3:At DO:-The data will be collected from HOs/SOs. The data will be segregated by using primary key for Eg., Student education standard/Student age. From this we can determine

Scope: a) All Primary schools b) All Concept schools c) All Talent/International schools 3) High School data: Where the children age is below 10 to 15 years they are eligible for High School education. The data will be segregated in the following types. The data will be supplied to Play schools. The data will be supplied to Pri mary school. Scope: a) All Engineering colleges b) All Medical colleges c) All Nursing colleges d) All Para Medical colleges . The data will be supplied to Intermediate colleg es. Scope: a) All Intermediate colleges b) All Corporate Colleges like Sri Chitanya. The data will be supplied to managements of respective colleges. Scope:a) All High schools b) All Concept schools c) All talent/Internatoinal schools 4) Intermediate: Where the children age is 15 to 17 years they are eligible for Intermediate education. 1) Play school data: Where the children age is below 3 -4 years they are eligible for Play schools.the requirement of data to Primary school/Higher school/Inter media te college/ Engineering. The data will be supplied to managements of High schools.

So in each town if the data will be sold to 50 to 60 institutions the reven ue for the department is Rs. In each town there will be nearly 60 to 100 Primary schoo ls/High schools/Concept schools. The data will be supplied to managements of PG colleges. 20 to 25 PG colleges.The segregated data will be arranged in the form of ready made data which serves the purpose of the institutions. . The IP/PRI(P)/ME will get the order from concerned institutions in the form of Direct Post. Scope: a) All MBA/MCA colleges b) All PG colleges with MSC/MA/MCom courses Step 4:How to sell the data:.e) All Degree colleges 6) PG college: where the children age group is 20 to 25 they are eligible for Post Graduate level education.00. The data will be re-organised in the form of locations/places/towns/districts/regions. Now the data will be sold to the i nstitutions @ 100 entries for Rs. 20 to 25 Intermediate colleges.1000 -. There is scope for sale/processing of Passport applications to the customers.India Post will act as Brand Ambassador for premier educational institutions in the following manner. Identify the most prominent spot (hot spot) and if possible conduct open auction among the potential institutions to get more revenue. ii) By carrying bags of concerned institutions by all delivery staff. For example identify the premier spot of public hall and declare it as Sri Chitanya s Monday and facilitate the institution to give publicity at our Post office premises through their staff by holding banners/posters or distributing pamplates / brochers of their institute.
