PINPOINT TEST J: DTCs C1095, C1096 — ABS HYDRAULIC PUMP MOTOR FAILURE

CONDITIONS DETAILS/RESULTS/ACTIONS
J1 CHECK FOR FAULT REPEATABILITY

Verify that the ABS pump motor electrical connector is
connected to the anti-lock brake control module.

Check ABS pump motor electrical connector for corrosion.
Clean and reconnect.

Clear Continuous DTCs

Carry out anti-lock brake control module On-Demand
Self-Test

Retrieve and document continuous DTCs

 Are any DTCs retrieved?

Yes
If DTC C1095 is retrieved, INSTALL a new EHCU.
REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) in this section.

If DTC C1096 is retrieved, GO to J2 .

No
System is OK. TEST the system for normal operation.

If a different DTC is retrieved, refer to Anti-Lock Brake
Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
J2 CHECK PUMP MOTOR CIRCUIT 532 (OG/YE)

HCU C155a Measure the voltage between HCU C155a. DRIVE the vehicle over rough roads and through a car wash. . CLEAR the DTCs.  Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? Yes GO to J3 . No REPAIR the circuit. harness side and ground. J3 CONCLUDE CIRCUIT CHECK Measure the resistance between HCU C155a pins 8 and 24. REPEAT the self-test. and ground. circuit 532 (OG/YE) harness side. circuit 530 (LG/RD). pins 9 and 25.

 Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? Yes INSTALL a new HCU. CLEAR the DTCs. DRIVE the vehicle over rough roads and through a car wash. REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) in this section. REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. Clean and reconnect. Clear Continuous DTCs Carry out anti-lock brake control module On-Demand Self-Test Retrieve and document continuous DTCs . Check ABS pump motor electrical connector for corrosion. DRIVE the vehicle over rough roads and through a car wash. PINPOINT TEST J: DTCs C1095. No REPAIR the circuit.

No REPAIR the circuit. GO to J2 . circuit 532 (OG/YE) harness side. REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) in this section. refer to Anti-Lock Brake Control Module Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.  Are any DTCs retrieved? Yes If DTC C1095 is retrieved. CLEAR the DTCs. If DTC C1096 is retrieved.

REPEAT the self-test. harness side and ground. No REPAIR the circuit. REFER to Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) in this section. circuit 530 (LG/RD). DRIVE the vehicle over rough roads and through a car wash.Measure the resistance between HCU C155a pins 8 and 24. . DRIVE the vehicle over rough roads and through a car wash. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. CLEAR the DTCs.  Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? Yes INSTALL a new HCU.
