18 - What did you like about the course and/or instructor, Laura Edythe Coleman? Please give examples.

• I liked how the course was set up, learned a lot about different aspects in leadership.
• I enjoyed the speakers and the use of multiple mediums for the course readings and videos.
• I love how Professor Coleman doesn't rely on busywork to have students demonstrate what they've learned. Instead she fosters an environment for useful discussion among both herself and the rest
of the students. I can say without a doubt that the dialogue I've had with the industry leaders Professor Coleman invited each week will stay with me much longer than any of the research papers I've
had to write throughout my graduate work.
• I absolutely loved her structure of the course! I loved her speakers that she had come in. I loved that the content was applicable to real life and helped understand ourselves so that we can be better
leaders.
• As someone aspiring to be in a leadership role, the concept of "Guest Speaker" series was a refreshing and engaging one. At the start of the course, Dr. Coleman explained to us the circumstance of
her taking over the course. Rather than "teaching" us the same old curriculum, it was incredibly refreshing to be able to hear and speak to successful "leaders". Often times in the past, I have taken
leadership style courses, and while I have learned a great deal of "theory" in the text books and lectures from those classes, sometimes those do not necessarily "fit" the real world circumstances we
face. Being able to hear what made these leaders successful, how they dealt with failure, and to be able to ask them questions about their experience (and bounce our own experience with them) kept
me engaged and taught me a lot of things.
• I really liked the fact that the course wasn't designed as a traditional lecture-style course but more discussion-based. It was really interesting to get to know other students and their thoughts on certain
issues. I normally do not really care for online courses because of the lack of interaction with the instructor and the students but this course was nothing like that. I also really appreciated how
Professor. Coleman was always very understanding and encouraging.

19 - What aspects of the course and/or Laura Edythe Coleman's instructional methods should be improved? Please give examples.

• Homework should be posted in a timely manner so we can do it ahead of time and not be rushed.
• Laura's attention to detail should be improved such as time zones, link settings, informing speakers that they will need to create a discussion prompt, etc.
• None. Loved how she had it set up!
• I can't think of anything.

20 - Please list additional comments and/or suggestions.

• Please change the graduate course listing to represent what this course is changing to.
• It's my last semester and I can confidently say that Professor Coleman's course is among the most educational classes I've taken throughout my time at FSU. She's a refreshingly modern thinker
(which is so nice in librarianship). Plus she's woke as hell. I'll definitely be recommending her courses to others.
• Maybe just reminders for when discussion boards are due.

are the current trends(opportunities and threats) in libraries, how do we prepare ourselves to become a better candidate for certain positions, how to write resumes and CVs..., etc)
