Network Engineer (m/f)

Munich, Full Time

This is a key role within our Data Center Infrastructure team, with full technical responsibility and
participation in technical projects. It is ideal for someone with good network skills who is technically
strong and up to date and who wants to move in a position that allows decision making in technical
areas. You will be involved in working with cutting-edge technologies and supporting some of the most
influential and impactful engineering topics in Germany.

What we need from you:

• Setup and operation of network components (switches, load balancers, firewalls, routers)
• Troubleshooting in the network environment
• Technical responsibility for availability of the network, consisting of switches, firewall and router,
VPN gateway and load balancers
• Technical lead in projects, e.g. migration, moves, adds and changes
• Working on incident tickets in our incident management system
• Documentation of system information in a knowledge management tool
• Creation and implementation of viable network and security concepts
• Monitoring of network components and traffic
• Be the point of interaction with other parts of the support organization
• Participation in on-call duty

What we need you to bring:

• Well educated to university degree level or equivalent demonstrable knowledge

• A supportive mindset that fits into the company core values
• Network experience covering multiple aspects
• Good knowledge of Cisco Systems, as switches (FEX / Fabric Path / VPC / VDC / OSPF), Cisco
ASA firewall (VPN), Cisco ASR 1K/9K router (BGP internet peering), Cisco Catalyst switches
• Skills in, Palo Alto firewall, Checkpoint firewall, Juniper/Pulse Secure VPN gateway, F5
Loadbalancer, DELL/Force10 Switches & Bladecenter Switches
• Readiness to get familiar with other Data Center topics as storage, backup, VM
• Knowledge of agile working methods
• Advantageous are skills in JIRA and Confluence
• German and English fluent in spoken and written
