College is the most important part of your life. It will decide what you study and work on

for the rest of your life. It is a part of you that you will never want or need to get rid of. Penn State

is one of those colleges that is with more than 700,000 people today (directory.alumni.psu.edu). It

started out as a small school founded by Evan Pugh in 1859. Since then, it has become one of the

biggest schools in the nation. Attending Penn State sets one up for post baccalaureate success

because of its wide variety of job opportunities, ideal location, and pristine support services for

students.

variety of job opportunities. Penn State is an ideal place to go if you are looking for a major in

business, social sciences or engineering. Penn State is a perfect place to major in any of those. It

has over one hundred and sixty majors including almost thirty engineering majors and many

business (engr.psu.edu). Having that number of majors lets one have more options in terms of

finding a career to study and work on for the rest of your life. It is one of the best engineering

schools ranked at number twenty in the nation (usnews.com). Also, Penn State offers a wide variety

of career and job placement opportunities. Along with a large number of alumni, Penn State gives

you the ability to get help in picking a career to study by having amazing support services and job

opportunities. Luckily, there are lots to choose from so you will not have to struggle with finding

a career to study. The large alumni network makes finding a job easier because of the number of

alumni out there. Finally, there are hundreds of clubs that you can join at Penn State

(bigfuture.collegeboard.org). You will be able to find a club or some kind of activity that relates
to your field of study and can help you with your specific major or minor. A wide variety of job

opportunities at Penn State set one up for post-baccalaureate success.

of state costs for tuition and other payments. For a student living in the state of Pennsylvania,

discounted tuition, there are lots of activities to participate in around the University Park campus.

There is Pegula Ice Arena which can be fun for ice skating. There is also Palmer Museum of Art

and also Beaver Stadium (tripadvisor.com). Also, there is the Millbrook Marsh Nature Center

and six major museums on the campus. They are all close to University Park which makes it a

great place for not just academics but also for getting to know the city and state. Finally,

Dickinson Law, which is part of Penn State, is located just 90 miles south of University Park in

Carlisle and the college of Medicine is located close by in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The ideal

location of Penn State will set one up for post-baccalaureate success.

of its ability. Financial aid amazes me because of the number of students it has and has had in the

which is much higher than many other colleges. Along with the financial aid package, Penn State

has ideal career counseling and job placement services. This will help the students who need to

know more about the career they have chosen or if they still need help finding a career (ed.psu.edu).

students. College can seem like its far away from now but in the blink of an eye, you will be

graduating. Make sure you do not hate most important years of your life and pick a school that is

your perfect match.
