SETTLED

Her slender feet Left no imprint in the sand, Her body floating now On different frequencies. Shell to her ear, Full of fragile hope So delicate and deep, She listens for the call To join her lover In the Eastern sky. Tendrils of her hair Bind with morning star and moon, Forming wistful words of love In the orange glow Of their new dawn. Rapt. Together. No other thought than this. Ali Van Zee 09/02/10
