Preschool News
December is a short month, but it is a very busy month! We learned about the meaning
of Christmas before diving into the fun and silly side of Christmas. In addition to reading
several books about The Story of Christmas, the children put on a play during our
Annual Christmas Program which was held on December 20. They all did a wonderful job
leaning their parts and singing nice and loud. They were so good that we had a visit from
Santa himself at the end of the night.

During our last week before Christmas Break, each day had a different theme. We had
Grinch Day, Rudolph Day, Elf Day and Pajama Day. The students were invited to dress
up each day. We then read books, created art, played games, and watched movies that
related to each days theme.

On Rudolph Day, "Coach" Karen Coffin come in and played Reindeer Games. At the end
of the "training camp" each child earned a red nose!

As we looking forward to the New Year, we hope that everyone had a blessed and restful
holiday!

Rachel Johnson, Firelands Preschool Program Director and Teacher
