Resident Profile Rick and Kimberlee Barnard
News
Hello new neighbors!
We are starting to plan for retirement and thought Sun City was a great com-
munity to be in. We’ll only be here part time until our retirement is official but
we’ve already met a lot of wonderful people and are looking forward to getting
to know Arizona and our community better.
Rick used to be in the construction business but for the past 20 years he’s been
in Law Enforcement. Currently, he’s a Detective with the Lakewood Police De-
partment in Pierce County, Washington. He even gets to help out the FBI with
their “Innocence Lost” program. Check out re-runs of “COPs” and you might
see him. Rick is originally from Blandford, Massachusetts and is a die-hard Red
Sox, Bruins and Patriots fan.
I graduated college with a degree in Elementary and Special Education but
never officially got into teaching. Instead, I got into the Law Enforcement field
and worked in the Pierce County 911 center and have been there for the past 27 years. I absolutely love what I do.
When I grow up I think I’d like to be an interior decorator or a personal chef/caterer or a party planner. My dad
wanted me to be a Lawyer, oh well.
We love to travel, check out new places and we’re those annoying foodies who take pictures of their food. If we
could just get our own TV show on the Food or Travel Chanel, we’d be set!
Can’t wait to meet more of you and get involved in some of the activities…WATCH OUT ON THE PICKLE BALL
COURTS BECAUSE TEAM BARNARD IS READY TO PLAY HARD BALL!
