2017 Bolt Action Back to the Front! Mission I Out on Patrol

Two patrols have met on the field of battle and attempt to complete their mission.

Setup Primary Objective
Setup
Primary Objective

Objectives: Complete your patrol and prevent the enemy from completing theirs.

Roll for Sides: There is no forward deployment or flanking in this scenario. Both players roll a die. Highest player chooses their start edge. The other player will have the opposite start edge. Your exit edge will be opposite from your start edge as shown in the picture.

Both sides will score the following points:

Each enemy infantry squad destroyed 2 points Each other enemy unit destroyed 1 point Each unit leaving the board via their exit edge 3 points If no side is winning by 3 or more points at the end of the game it will result in a draw.

First Turn Game Duration
First Turn
Game Duration

Both sides will have all their infantry squads enter the

table on turn 1. All other units are left in reserve and can

enter that side’s entry edge following the normal reserve

rules on turn 2.

The game will last 7, possibly 8 turns. (D6 roll of 4,5,6 at the end of turn 7 results in play of turn 8) Last turn will be called via time at 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Conceding and Wipeouts

If one player concedes the battle, or has no units on the table at the end of the game turn, the game ends and the opponent automatically wins.

2017 Bolt Action Back to the Front! Mission I – Out on Patrol Two patrols have

2017 Bolt Action Back to the Front! Mission II Pitched Battle

Run to the sound of gunfire, shoot everyone not dressed like you.

Setup

Primary Objective

Both players roll a die. Highest player chooses a starting edge. Both players choose up to half of their units (rounded down) to form their deployed units.

Both sides will score the following points:

Each enemy unit destroyed 1 point

Players alternate forward deploying snipers, observers etc.

Highest rolling player then deploys one unit in their deployment zone and players alternate until all deployed units are deployed.

All other units are left in reserve and can enter that side’s entry

edge following the normal reserve rules on turn 2. Flanking is allowed.

Game Duration
Game Duration

The game will last 6, possibly 7 turns. (D6 roll of 4,5,6 at the end of turn 6 results in play of turn 7) Last turn will be called via time at 1 hour 45 minutes.

Conceding and Wipeouts

If one player concedes the battle, or has no units on the table at the end of the game turn, the game ends and the opponent automatically wins.

2017 Bolt Action Back to the Front! Mission III Capture the?

Control vital battlefield locations or deny the enemy control of them.

Setup

Primary Objective

Both players roll a die. Highest player gets three objectives

to place, the other player gets 2. Both players take turns placing objectives more than 6” from a table edge and more than 15” from each other. After objectives are

deployed assign them a number and roll a D5 to generate

one objective. That is considered the “key” objective and

will be worth one additional point.

Once all objectives are placed both players again roll a die. The highest player picks a starting edge. Both sides nominate at least half (rounded down) of their units to be their first wave. There is no forward deploying in this scenario.

Objectives will be held if no enemy units are within 3”. The objective will remain in control of that side as long it has units within 3”. In other words, objectives cannot be contested by moving within 3”, you need to eliminate the other side’s units completely to capture the objective.

Units with no one nearby are considered abandoned and not controlled by anyone. Objectives change control in

real time and can flip multiple times in a turn, not just at

turn’s end.

Each normal objective is worth 2 points and the key objective is worth 3 points.

Whichever side has more points is the winner. In case of a tie the side that has a unit closest to the center of the key objective is the winner, if it is still a tie the unit highest point value of the two tied units is the winner. If it is still a tie, dice off for the winner. There can be no ties this game.

How to Report Your Score

Your score will take the following format

Win 5

Draw 2

Loss 1

Forfeit 0

Then total up the points values of any units completely destroyed. Partially dead, disabled and pinned to hell do NOT count. Units that never got onto the board from reserves DO count.

That number will be total value of your list or less. That will become the 4-place decimal behind your score.

Examples

1 point

= .0001

10 points

= .0010

131

points

= .0131

977

points

= .0977

1248

points = .1248

1499

points = .1499

Add this decimal to your score. So, a win with a kill of 612 points would be 5.0612

A draw with a kill of 1487 points would be 2.1487

Your total kill points will serve as the tie breaker to your position in all rounds. Please be VERY careful when adding up this number and be sure you have a 4-place decimal after all scores.
