PETITION

PETITIONER, thru their counsel, and unto this Honorable

Board, respectfully manifests the following, to wit:

1. That petitioner is a duly registered labor organization

with the Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE),
with office address located at Second Floor, City Lane
Building, Aviles Street, Ormoc City;

2. That petitioner is the duly authorized bargaining

representative for workers in Western Leyte;

3. That there is indeed a need for an increase in the

minimum wage received by the workers in Western
Leyte;

4. That the need for an increase in the minimum wage

received by workers in Western Leyte are based on the
increase in prices of petroleum products which likewise
resulted in the increase in transportation cost/fare;

5. That such increase in minimum wage is necessary due

to the increase in prices of basic goods and services in
the Western Leyte area;

6. That this petition is for the best interest of the workers

in Western Leyte and their families.
 PRAYER

WHEREFORE, premises considered, it is respectfully prayed of

this Honorable Board to grant a Twenty-five peso (PHP 25.00)
increase in minimum wages for workers in Western Leyte.

Likewise, it is also respectfully prayed that a public hearing be

conducted on November 24, 2017 regarding this petition.
