Social and cultural factors
contractor’s side, financial problems are the major
factor in
delaying construction projects. Poor site
management and, as a consequence,
mistakes, delay in the delivery of
materials to the site, and coordination
problem were the subsequent factors causing
delay in construction projects in
Malaysia. The next most important factors causing
delay in construction projects in
Malaysia come from the labour side, and finally
the contractor’s side, summarized by
“lack of subcontractor’s skills” and “lack of site
contractor’s staf”.
