98th Grand Alumni Homecoming

Last December 4, 2017, Western Mindanao State University

celebrated their 98th Grand Alumni Homecoming— I may say that it was all

fun and enjoyable but it was quite boring also, because I've been onto one

of the alumni's on WMSU it was spectacular for me because there were more

to be seen and done. Before there was even a carnivals and people were

really enjoying the festive for those days was brighter than what I have

seen. This celebration that was held includes all curriculums from elementary

to college. Different school having been united being active to help occasion

to be a successful one. And I know that there was more than meets the eye.

In these week we were full of activities; lots of program and contest

from different departments. All of the students were having so much fun

because they were not held back by their teacher to have fun on the alumni,
while we SHS students are having our classes, doing our assignments and

activities that was left on us by are teachers that are joining some activities

and/or being a staff on some activities that is being held on those days.

As a student of this institution I had a high expectation on this

homecoming occasion because some of my acquaintance were studying in

this institution and they were very proud of having to study here and having

the best alumni they’ve had. It was quite a grand event because of the

programs and performances that were given or shown to the audiences. Also

as a new student I have thought that there will be no classes on the alumni

homecoming and we, all of the students will be having our time knowing the

school as it was and will be. But it seems that we were left to have our

classes and be left out of the ceremony or the occasion that was taking place

at that time. I was disappointed to see others have fun while others are

being left out. That was quite unfair for me, on those who haven’t feel the

occasion that was going on.

It was also because of the vendors the visitors got to have fun and

eat to their fullest. The visitors and the alumni’s has fun doing different

things and have become as one. New students and old students even

became closer to each other. They can be seen to be having fun on the
festive that was happening in front of your eyes you can see them roaming

on the campus ground having fun watching other people get to do what they

want on the festive until it ends.

I may seem to not have fun on this festive but I still did, I just

have different perspective to what others may think of how I see the festive

that was happening in the institution, well it was still quite a scene for me a

fun one to be exact but not as what I have expected to be seen.
