PREFACE

Dear Colleague, Rapid technological advances and globalization of economy has created requirement of multi-skilled engineers, technicians and professionals in the world of work. To prepare the students for the changing job market, the teaching fraternity needs to be fully equipped with strategies and techniques of teaching for such empowerment. Training has become an indispensable requirement to update one's skills and abilities. The role of NITTTR Bhopal has also transformed in last few years in response to the changing role of technical, management and other allied professional institutions and it has now aggressively oriented itself to provide purposeful and need-based training to its large clientele. NITTTR Bhopal caters to the needs of the technical education system with the focus on “multi-skills and competitiveness in the job market”. Much more emphasis is being given to improve the quality of Technical Education. It promotes innovations, creativity, optimal designs and experimentations, content updating in emerging engineering and technology areas, and product/process development to cope with the challenges through short-term training programmes as per the needs of the client states. Advent of Information Technology and sophisticated software's have made a great impact on Instructional Systems Design and Delivery. The Institute plans to offer variety of post-graduate programmes in Engineering/Technology and Management in addition to Post Graduate and Ph.D. programme in Technical Education. The M.Tech. (Ed.) Programme offered by the institute is AICTE approved and is considered equivalent to M.E. / M. Tech. for awarding benefits under Career Advancement Scheme. The calendar of activities provides detailed information on different academic programmes offered throughout the year to teachers, educational managers, administrators, professionals and staff of engineering, science, humanities, pharmacy, architecture, management and computer disciplines. A brief of each programme is given in the institute’s websites www.nitttrbpl.ac.in and www.poc.nitttrbpl.ac.in. The faculty and staff interested to participate in these programmes at NITTTR Bhopal or any of its extension centers may be advised to apply through proper channel. The self-financed institutions interested to conduct programmes at their locations may please send their request directly to NIITTTR Bhopal.

INSTRUCTIONS TO PARTICIPANTS
General Instructions:
1. This calendar indicates the title, target group, venue and duration of the programme only. For content to be covered in the programmes, please see the institute websites : www.nitttrbpl.ac.in and www.poc. nitttrbpl.ac.in The participants and sponsoring authority should check their eligibility as per the target group for the programme for registering/sponsoring themselves for the concerned programme. The applications of the participants for attending any calendar programme should reach to the NITTTR Bhopal in advance through the respective Principal/ Directorate as per the norms of the corresponding state/Institute. Before proceeding for the programme, the participants are advised to get confirmation of their participation from the concerned programme coordinator/ faculty. Phone numbers and e-mail addresses of the faculty of NITTTR are given at the Institute website and at the end of this calendar. It is imperative that participants must check status of the programme before proceeding. Participants are expected to reach in time for various programmes, otherwise they may not be entertained. Certificate of training will be issued to only those who have attended the programme and completed the assignments and other activities as per training plan (verified by the programme coordinator). As per the present policy of the institute, a programme will be organised only if there is sufficient number of registration at least one week before the commencement of the programme. Participants are therefore requested to check above websites for the latest status of the programmes before proceeding for the programme. Due to limited accommodation facility at NITTTR Extension Centre, Goa, the participants are advised to get the confirmation of their participation from the Goa State Coordinator before proceeding for the programme.

Instructions for Government and Government aided Institutions :
1. For any calendar programme, TA/DA of the sponsored teachers within the regional states (MP, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat and Goa) will be borne by NITTTR Bhopal (subject to maximum second class AC travel by train) as per the prevailing norms of the institute. However, in case of MHRD/AICTE summer/winter school programmes, whenever announced, AICTE norms will be applicable. In case of participants from government funded/aided technical Institute from States other than Western Region attending the calendar programmes, TA will be restricted to AC-III tier. In case of in-house programmes to be organised at government funded/aided technical Institute, the expected number of participants are 20. For such in-house programmes, NITTTR Bhopal will not bear any expenses towards payments of TA/DA to the participants. In case of in-house programme, the host institute will ensure availability of requisite Teaching-Learning equipment and facilities, classrooms, hospitality to the participants etc.

Instructions for Self-financed/ Private Institutions : 1. Hostel facilities are available at nominal rates at NITTTR Bhopal and NITTTR extension center at Pune and Ahmedabad.
