John 21:1-14 Epistle Project: Romans 8:12-17

As children of God, we do not have to live the Christian life

in our own strength, but in the strength which he supplies
(1 Pet 4:11). How does he supply that strength? He puts his
spirit in us, and adopts us as his sons and daughters. His
Spirit tells us the truth in our hearts: we are his children,
we can call out to Him as our Father. We are led by His
Spirit and we are precious to him, and he has bestowed a
great love on us. 1 John 3:1 reminds us, “See what kind of
love the Father has given to us, that we should be called
children of God; and so we are.” As a child of God, we can
have victory over sin as we are led by his spirit.

Epistle Project: Romans 8:18-30

There is a universal truth known among mankind no mat-

ter where you live or what language you speak; life is hard.
In this life there is suffering, pain, sorrow, and death. It can
be so overwhelming that sometimes you may not be sure
how you’ll get through it all. But Christians have something
that the world does not have; hope. As we walk through
the difficulties that we’re faced with in this life, we can trust
that we’re going somewhere and that God uses everything
in our lives for our growth in Christ. Read today’s passage
and ask God to help you think this way so that you’re
armed when trials come.
