1.0 Summary

1.1 The Lauren Site Manager is responsible and accountable for the following:

1.1.1 To be Lauren’s primary on-site representative and customer contact.


1.1.2 To provide leadership, management and coordination for all other on-site
project team members, while understanding that some of these team
members will receive position specific direction from and provide periodic
feedback to their respective corporate support departments.
1.1.3 To lead the development and implementation of the construction
execution plan and related goals, such as safety, schedule, quality, budget
and customer relations.
1.1.4 To exhibit personally and to actively promote the Lauren Mission, Vision,
Core Values and Keys to Success.
1.1.5 To encourage and drive Rapid Sustained Improvement in all on-site
implemented processes and work practices.
1.1.6 To participate in the company Mentoring and Development process for the
site staff and craft supervisory personnel.

2.0 Proposal Development and Pre-Job Preparation Responsibilities

2.1 Whenever available, the Lauren Site Manager will be a key member of the proposal
team and will participate in the proposal development process. Whether during this
process or during the time period after project award and prior to mobilization at the
project site, the Site manager will be responsible for the following activities:

2.1.1 Thoroughly review the contract and all available work scope documents,
drawings, specifications and the construction estimate.
2.1.2 Participate in the development of and help to finalize the Project Execution
Plan.
2.1.3 Develop the site staff organization chart.

2.1.4 Review and Help to finalize the Project Safety Plan.


2.1.5 Review and help to finalize the Project Quality Plan.
2.1.6 Review and help to finalize the Project Schedule.
2.1.7 Review and help to finalize the Project Subcontracting Plan.
2.1.8 Work with the Construction Services and Human Resources departments,
as well as with the business unit Construction Manager, to assemble the
site support staff and the key craft supervisors.
2.1.9 Develop initial tool, equipment and consumable lists.
2.1.10 Review the Construction Manpower Needs and work with the HR
Recruiter to develop a plan for filling those needs.
2.1.11 Develop a Site Security Plan, including a gate plan for access and
deliveries, and a gate segregation plan (union/non-union), when necessary.
2.1.12 Participate in project kick-off and team building activities.

3.0 Job Set-up Responsibilities

3.1 The Lauren Site Manager, with support from the Site Admin Manager and other site
staff lead personnel, is responsible for the following site set-up activities:

3.1.1 Set-up construction support facilities.


3.1.2 Coordinate the mobilization of the support staff and craft supervisors.
3.1.3 Formalize onsite responsibilities, interfaces and communication
procedures. Work with the contract and the customer to establish the
ongoing reporting requirements, meeting schedule, hold points, etc.
3.1.4 Formalize off site interfaces and communication procedures.
3.1.5 Establish weather emergency, area evacuation, medical emergency and
first aid guidelines.
3.1.6 Identify all training and certification requirements (safety, quality, security,
etc.) for onsite personnel. Proactively manage the implementation and
documentation of these activities and continuously monitor their status.
3.1.7 Install a Lauren bulletin board and post all required permits, licenses, job
rules, government notices, etc.
3.1.8 Install all necessary job signage (safety, laydown grids, directions, speed
limits, area names, etc.).

4.0 Construction Execution Responsibilities

4.1 The Lauren Site Manager is responsible for providing day to day direction for all on
site staff personnel and for establishing and maintaining positive relations and open
communications with the customer contacts on the project site. The Construction
Execution areas of responsibility and accountability are the following:

4.1.1 Safety performance.


4.1.2 Labor productivity.
4.1.3 Schedule progress.
4.1.4 Cost control.
4.1.5 Quality performance.
4.1.6 Material receiving and storage.
4.1.7 Management and control of construction equipment, tools and
consumables.
4.1.8 All field installation activities.
4.1.9 Management and coordination of subcontractors.
4.1.10 Field change order management.
4.1.11 Coordination and performance of all on site administrative and
documentation activities.
4.1.12 Coordination and performance of project completion, testing and turnover
activities.
4.1.13 Assuring that all work is completed by using the best available industry
methods and practices.

5.0 Project Closeout Responsibilities

5.1 The Lauren Site Manager is responsible for participating in the following project
closeout activities:

5.1.1 Supervise all demobilization activities.


5.1.2 Perform or participate in all job staff exit reviews.
5.1.3 Participate in all internal and external project review and lessons learned
meetings.

6.0 Key Results and Accountability Metrics

6.2 The Accountability Metrics for the Lauren Site Manager are:

6.2.1 Safety metrics, such as TIR, LTIR, near misses, safety disciplinary
actions, etc.
6.2.2 Budget metrics, such as labor productivity, equipment usage, average
craft wages, support craft usage, staffing budget, etc.
6.2.3 Schedule metrics, such as milestone achievements, activity durations,
etc.
6.2.4 Quality metrics, such as NCR’s issued, weld rejection rates, hydro-test
success rates, construction rework rates, etc.
6.2.5 Customer survey results.
6.2.6 Human resource metrics, such as craft turnover, staffing turnover,
supervisory training hours, promotion rates, etc.
