1. A) Determine the flash and fire point of the given sample of oil by using open cup apparatus
B) Dismantle, overhaul and assemble the starter motor and alternator / dynamo

2. A) Determine the absolute viscosity of the given lubricating oil at various temperature by
using redwood’s viscometer / say bolt viscometer
B) Remove, decarburize, inspect and replace the cam shaft, timing gear, valves and adjust valve
Clearance

3. A) Observe the salient points on working of given two stroke petrol / Diesel engine and draw the
actual port timing diagram.
B) Dismantle, inspect and assemble the given gear box and find the gear ratios.

4. A) Observe the salient points on working of given four stroke petrol / Diesel engine and draw the
actual valve timing diagram.
B) Remove, service and replace the SOLEX Carburetor / MPFI system.

5. A) Conduct Performance test on the given petrol / Diesel engine.


B) Dismantle, inspect and assemble the pressure plate, clutch plate.

6. A) Conduct Morse test on the given multi cylinder Petrol / Diesel engine.
B) Dismantle, inspect and assemble the final drive and differential units and also adjust the
backlash, correct tooth contact of crown and pinion of the given differential unit.

7. A) Conduct a heat balance test on the given four stroke Petrol / Diesel Engine.
B) Test the battery with specific gravity test and charge the battery with constant voltage /
constant ampere method.

B) Dismantle and assemble the inline fuel Injection Pump / CRDI system and injector.
