Lesson Plan.

Tell students we are going to be working with the English Literature in its next
two periods.

Organize students in three groups.

Tell them the class will include a competition (with a prize for winners), so they
have to participate to win points.

Make a brainstorming with the students about Renaissance using a picture as
reference.

Time: 5 minutes

English Literature in Renaissance and Neoclassical Period.

Step 1: Show them a timeline and explain briefly literature’s evolution in
England.

Time: 1 minute

Step 2: Tell them about the English background and ask them why it is important

Time: 2 minutes

Step 3: Talk about the renaissance, the context and its division

Time: 1 minute

Time: 4 minutes Step 6: Ask them to name the most relevant genre in this period. the context and its literature. Time: 2 minutes Step 1: Give them a book to each group and show them which paragraph they are going to work with Time: 1 minute Step 2: Explain them they have 3 minutes to read it and discuss in the group about what the author talks about. Talk about the Neoclassical Period.
