DRILL TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Sandvik DL331-5C is a fully-mechanized and highly versatile

one-man-operated electro-hydraulic top hammer longhole
drill for underground mining in drifts with cross-sections of 3
meters by 3 meters or larger. It is capable of drilling vertical
and inclined plane rings and single or parallel Ø51…76 mm
longholes up to 23 meters in depth, using R32- and T38-
series extension drill steels. Sandvik DL331-5C is mounted
on a four-wheel drive frame-steered and diesel-powered
undercarrier. The rig is equipped with Sandvik HLX5 hydraulic
rock drill, LHF2000 drilling module, SB60P longhole boom,
THC560 hydraulic control system and operator’s safety cabin
for maximum safety, performance, reliability and total drilling
economy. The 360-degree boom rotation and wide swing and
tilt angles make the unit suitable for most mining methods
and a range of drilling applications. The undercarriage layout is
designed for good visibility, mobility and balance, ensuring fast
and safe manoeuvring in narrow drifts.
The operating and maintenance interface of Sandvik DL331-
5C are designed for easy access and safe and fast operation,
and all service points are accessible from ground level. The
control system is fitted with automatic functions for maximum
performance and drilling accuracy
