2. Project Details:
 Title of the project: Enhancing AVI (Availability & Visibility Index) of Vodafone Retail
Outlet Vis a Vis competition in Punjab.
 Area of the project: Patiala (Punjab).
 Objective of the project: To increase the Availability & Visibility Index of Vodafone
Retail Outlet in order to boost the sales & thus the revenue generation of an
organization.
 Description of the project in brief: Check for the Availability of Vodafone sim cards,
Chotta recharge coupons, world calling cards, posters, ZooZoo balloons, signage, flange
etc & if not available, make these above mention things available to the outlets as soon
as possible. This in turn will increase the AVI (Availability & Visibility Index) of Vodafone
which will increase the sales of Vodafone. And also, to analyze the effect on customer as
if the stock is maintained & so is the visibility part, how the customers react to it.

3. Project Implementation and Schedule:


 Background: The project basically focuses on the key to enhance AVI of a certain
region of an organization. How enhanced AVI does help to sales & the organization?
And what are the various ways of improving AVI of an organization?
 Schedule: To visit 20plus retail outlets of Vodafone & judge those on certain specified
parameters in order to improve the AVI of Vodafone.
 Methodology: For this purpose, I have it into three phases:-
 First phase: Basic knowledge about AVI (Availability & Visibility Index)
 Second phase: Collection of Primary Data
 Third phase: Data Analysis
4. Findings & Conclusion:
• AVI indirectly affect the sales of an organization.
• AVI enhances the customers & retailers commitment.
• The more customers see the company’s posters & ads on the shops, the more they get
inclined towards the company.

5. Recommendations:
• Company’s Distributors should also be made liable for the AVI performance of the city.
• More & more creative work should be done regularly apart from AVI, which in turn
increases the sales of the company.

6. Special Achievement /Recognition:


During my internship at Vodafone, Patiala (where my project was basically based) scored first
rank in month of March’2010 in whole Punjab with regards to Availability & Visibility Index.
