About Ayuthaya: The city of Ayuthaya was Thailand’s former capital and conferred World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1991. The Ayuthaya kingdom is considered Thailand’s Golden Age where the city itself rivaled London. The city fell to ruin and was destroyed by Burma at the end of the 18th century. After the ransacking of Ayuthaya, the capital was never rebuilt, and instead the Court moved down in search of a place to build a new capital and settled down in Bangkok. DAY 1 20:30 22:00

Arrive in Bangkok from Munich, Germany via flight TG6701 and transfer to hotel by air-conditioned coach (bus??) (transfer time 45 minutes) Check-in at hotel.

DAY 2 (Includes: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner L/D) 07:00 Breakfast at hotel. 08:15 Transfer to Ayuthaya by air conditioned coach to boat pier to board river boat for a tour of riverside life on the Chao Phaya River. 09:00 Arrive at boat pier and board long tail boat. Enjoy a 1-hour boat ride and take-in the riverside life scenes. Disembark at Nonthaburi boat pier and take a river taxi to Koh Kred. 10:30 Koh Kred is a small island embankment on the Chao Phaya River that are mainly populated by the “Mon” ethnic people and is famous for its earthen wares. Explore this charming island by bicycles and visit local pottery factories. 12:30 Continue journey to Pathum Thani for lunch at a local riverside restaurant situated in a local market for a Thai lunch. You will have the opportunity to walk through a local market and view local life. After lunch board minivans to continue journey to Ayuthaya. Thai Lunch: Asia spread. SDDFFGGHHHJJJJKJK 14:30 Arrive at Bang Pa in Royal Summer Residence. Visit the main pavilions of the realm and the main chapel of the neo gothic Buddhist temple of Wat Nives 17:30 Transfer to hotel and check-in. Take this opportunity to enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool to cool off after a long day of travel. Dinner On Own DAY 3 (Includes: Breakfast & Lunch B/L) 08:00 American breakfast at hotel. 09:00 Board air-conditioned minivans for a visit to Ayuthaya’s famous World Heritage Site ancient ruins. Visits will be made to Old Wat Phanoen Choeng temple (Frequented by the Chinese Community), Wat Na Phra Men, Wat Lokaya Sutta and Elephant kraal. 12:30 Lunch at local restaurant 13:30 Visit Wat Mahathat, Phra Si Sanphet, Wat Mongkol Bophit and Wat Chai Wattanaram 17:00 Check-out of hotel and transfer back to Bangkok. 18:00 Arrive in Bangkok. Stroll along the small shops, vendors and market to get a feel of old Bangkok. Here’s where you can get a taste of the local cuisine. Stop at local restaurant for lunch. 14:00 Walk to the boat pier to board local water taxis for a tour of Bangkok’s canals. Take in the view of local canal-side life, along the cruise you will see old temples, typical Thai houses and their traditional way of life. 16:00 Transfer back to hotel to freshen-up. 19:00 Transfer to the Lumpini Night Bazaar for a shopping and dinner at your own leisure (on own). Day 5 (includes: Breakfast) 09:00 American breakfast at hotel. 10:00 Guests are given the option to rest and relax at the hotel or to visit the Jim Thompson House followed by a visit to the Rama I Road and Rajdamnoen Shopping district (1.5 hour tour).
