INTRODUCING THE WSP

THE WEIR SELF-PRIMER (WSP) IS SETTING NEW STANDARDS IN THE AUSTRALIAN PUMP INDUSTRY.
The WSP is a rugged, dependable solids handling pump that is suitable for a range of solids handling jobs. Launched in America
in 2005, the performance of the WSP matches and in some cases exceeds other self-priming pumps in the market. Applications
for the WSP include sewage, industrial waste, wineries, mining, food processing and paper manufacturing.
Manufactured by Weir Specialty Pumps, the WSP has the support of a global company who is able to leverage strategic buying power and
provide the world’s best quality at a competitive price. This combined with the experience and knowledge of Malcolm Thompson Pumps,
a dedicated pump company with a national branch network and forty years history in Australia, ensures that the WSP will surpass your
expectations of a self-priming pump.

BENEFITS OF THE WSP

THE WSP OFFERS A RANGE OF BENEFITS TO END USERS OVER OTHER SELF-PRIMING PUMPS IN THE AUSTRALIAN MARKET.
RESULTING IN LOWER OPERATING COSTS, HIGHER ACTUAL EFFICIENCY AND A LONGER LIFE, THESE BENEFITS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
EASY MAINTENANCE – SHIMLESS / TOOL-LESS CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT
Unlike other self-priming pumps that require up to 20 parts and 2 tools to adjust the clearance no tools are required to adjust the
WSP clearance. The only tools you need are the ones you were born with – your hands! This results in easier, faster maintenance.
SUPERIOR MATERIALS – HI CHROME AND DUCTILE IRON COMPONENTS
The WSP is manufactured with superior materials, in terms of both brinnel hardness and the grade of the materials, compared
with materials used by competitors.
ENHANCED SAFETY FEATURES – FAILSAFE FILL PORT ASSEMBLY
The design of the fill port assembly ensures that it is impossible for the clamp bar to rotate (releasing the fill cap) until the
pressure has abated, due to the way the bolt head fits into the recess. This is in comparison to competitor designs that require
precise alignment of a square headed bolt to prevent the clamp bar from coming off the pump with high head velocity during
disassembly. This ensures that solids stay where they should – in the pump, not out!
COMPLETE INTERCHANGEABILITY – PUMPS AND SPARE PARTS
The WSP pumps and spare parts are completely interchangeable with Gresco, Pioneer and Gorman-Rupp pumps.
For further information regarding parts interchangeability please contact Malcolm Thompson Pumps on 1800 733 687.

A further advantage of the WSP is the industry leading 66 month warranty.
