Eufaula Indian Community
Building a Foundation
The Eufaula Indian Community was
founded in 1984 by a small group of con-
cerned Muscogee (Creek) people, whom
envisioned the opportunity to promote
the Native American people in the area
through education, health, and self-
awareness. With a charter through the
Principal Chief of the Muscogee (Creek)
Nation, the Eufaula Indian Community
established itself as a legal entity with
power granted by the laws within the tribe.
Today, the community consist of approx-
imately 250 members of various tribes. Mem-
bers are eligible for programs ranging from
