Peace Corner at BIIT Library

Bangladesh Institute of Islamic
Thought (BIIT) has been
established a Peace Corner in its
Library and Resource Center.
The center is situated in the 4th
floor of BIIT building at Uttara.
Mr. Abdus Sabur, the founder
secretary general of Thailand
based organizations Asian
Resource Foundation (ARF) and Association of Muslim Action Network (AMAN) was the
chief guest. Mr. Sabur inaugurate the corner and said that peace is universal and peace is
needed for everyone in the world, so everybody should take initiatives to ensure peace in our
mind, in our family, in our society and all over the world.

Dr. Maimul Ahsan Khan, Professor of
Dhaka University in the department of
Law and senior academic fellow of
BIIT was the especial guest. Mr. M. A.
Rashid Khan, former joint secretary of
Bangladesh Government and current
treasurer of Khaja Yunus Ali University
presided over the meeting. More than
two hundred books of renowned
publishers of home and abroad on
peace, extremism and violence are
available in the corner. Everyday 15- 20 readers are benefiting from the corner.
