Directions: Look at the following paragraph and add in some of the new transitional phrases
you have learned.

I really think that middle school students should get recess. There are three reasons why I feel

this way. One, we are just kids and should enjoy playing outside throughout the day. An example is

we need our down time. Second, we need exercise. In order to stay healthy, we need time to run

around and exercise during recess. Third, we need to socialize. We need time to talk to friends and

make new ones. These are the reasons why middle school students should have recess.
